Regional Sales Representative Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional sales representative in Vermont?
Most regional sales representative roles in Vermont require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a field related to the product being sold, such as agriculture, life sciences, or manufacturing. Vermont does not require a state-issued sales license for most commercial roles, but positions in insurance or financial products require licensure through the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation. Employers typically prioritize candidates with prior territory or account management experience in a Vermont-relevant industry.
Which companies hire regional sales representatives in Vermont?
Employers hiring regional sales representatives in Vermont right now include Exyte, ClearChoice MD, and Vermont Judiciary, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's concentration of specialty food, manufacturing, energy, and financial services companies creates consistent demand for territory sales professionals with local market knowledge.
Which Vermont cities have the most regional sales representative jobs?
The cities with the most regional sales representative openings in Vermont are Burlington, South Burlington, and Vermont. Burlington dominates hiring as the state's largest commercial hub, home to its highest concentration of corporate offices, distribution centers, and healthcare organizations, while Montpelier and Rutland generate demand from state government contractors, manufacturing firms, and regional financial services companies operating in those corridors.
Are there remote regional sales representative jobs in Vermont?
Yes, and more than many field roles, since regional sales representatives handling national or multi-state accounts can often work remotely outside of client visits. About 50% of regional sales representative openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how common it is for companies to let reps manage their Vermont territory from a home office. Product demonstration, trade shows, and key account visits remain in-person.
How can I get hired as a regional sales representative in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or inside sales associate role at a mid-size Vermont company in food and beverage, manufacturing, or financial services, where you build pipeline skills before moving into territory work. Employers like National Life Group and regional distributors based in Burlington often hire associate sales representatives or bring on candidates from customer service and account coordinator backgrounds. A relevant degree, a clean driver's record, and familiarity with Vermont's agricultural or specialty food industry gives early-career candidates a meaningful edge.
Where can I find and apply to regional sales representative jobs in Vermont?
