DESCRIPTION
Seller External Relations’ (SER) vision is that global opinion elites (OEs) agree that Amazon is an amazing place for independent sellers (sellers), especially domestic small businesses (SBs), to build and grow the business of their dreams, and that communities (both geographic and demographic) are better off with more sellers selling in Amazon’s store. We achieve this vision by driving a proactive communications and engagement strategy that establishes an accurate and positive narrative tailored to global OEs and the populations of sellers, SBs, and inclusive consumers. Our Research & Insights charter focuses on generating actionable insights that drive success of our small business sellers, measuring and improving perception among global opinion elites, and scaling research capabilities through AI-powered solutions.
We are looking for an individual with a strong market research background, a passion for solving unique problems, and a curiosity for how AI can transform and scale research. Our ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, loves solving complex problems, and sees AI as an opportunity to do more impactful work — not just faster work. You enjoy building things from scratch, are comfortable with change and ambiguity, and relish the chance to solve hard problems in short order. You bring a builder's mindset and are eager to explore how emerging tools and technologies can improve how research gets done. You recognize that the true measure of success is the business impact your findings and innovations have over time.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Lead design and execution of primary research studies (leveraging both qualitative and quantitative methods) to generate actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholder teams
- Lead foundational research to understand how to influence and move the needle on perception metrics among opinion elites and other key audiences
- Lead research and analysis that measures the impact of programs and initiatives on perception metrics among opinion elites and other key audiences
- Explore and implement AI-powered solutions that automate manual research tasks, enhance insights generation, and scale the team's capabilities — whether by leveraging existing tools or prototyping new approaches
- Design scalable and nimble mechanisms that help scale quantitative and qualitative research solutions, tools, and processes
- Apply sound research and business acumen to help the business not just answer complex questions but look around corners
- Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external agency partners
