Sales Account Executive Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales account executive in Oregon?
Most Oregon employers hire sales account executives with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, though relevant experience can substitute in many cases. Oregon does not require a state-issued license for general sales roles, so the path typically runs through entry-level sales development or inside sales positions at Oregon technology, healthcare, or manufacturing companies, where candidates build product knowledge, learn CRM workflows, and demonstrate quota attainment before advancing to a full account executive role.
How much do sales account executives make in Oregon?
Sales account executives in Oregon earn a median of about $74,180 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $45,360 for the lowest 10% to over $123,780 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales account executives in Oregon?
Companies currently hiring sales account executives in Oregon include AbbVie, Canon, and Optum, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Oregon's technology corridor around Portland and its large healthcare sector create consistent demand from both established enterprise firms and growth-stage companies.
Which Oregon cities have the most sales account executive jobs?
Portland, Oregon, and Eugene account for the most sales account executive openings in Oregon. Portland drives the largest share thanks to its concentration of technology, financial services, and healthcare companies, while Salem and Eugene contribute openings tied to regional employers in health benefits, utilities, and manufacturing distribution serving Central and Southern Oregon markets.
Are there remote sales account executive jobs in Oregon?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 90% of sales account executive openings tied to Oregon are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role relies on video calls, email outreach, and CRM work rather than in-person presence. The portions most often done remotely are prospecting, pipeline reviews, and renewal conversations, while larger enterprise deals and new-client kickoffs more commonly require in-person meetings.
How can I get hired as a sales account executive in Oregon with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or inside sales role at one of Oregon's technology or health-benefits companies, where structured onboarding and mentorship programs are common. Employers like those in Portland's software corridor regularly promote internally from SDR to account executive once candidates hit activity and pipeline targets. A completed Salesforce certification or similar CRM credential signals readiness and gives candidates an edge over others with equivalent experience levels.
Where can I find and apply to sales account executive jobs in Oregon?
You can find and apply to sales account executive jobs in Oregon on Migrate Mate, which lists current Oregon openings across industries and experience levels. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and target market, and apply directly through each listing.
