Sales Coordinator Jobs in Maine: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales coordinator in Maine?
Most sales coordinator positions in Maine require at minimum an associate degree in business, marketing, or communications, with many employers preferring a bachelor's degree. Maine does not issue a state license for sales coordinators, so the path runs through education, relevant internships, and demonstrable CRM or account management experience. Building familiarity with industries prominent in Maine, such as hospitality, healthcare, and wholesale distribution, gives candidates a clear advantage when applying to local employers.
Which companies hire sales coordinators in Maine?
Employers hiring sales coordinators in Maine right now include Scientific Games, Cliff House Maine, and Uncommon Hospitality, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Maine's hospitality groups, regional healthcare networks, and manufacturing distributors are among the most consistent sources of sales coordinator openings across the state.
Which Maine cities have the most sales coordinator jobs?
Portland, Gardiner, and Biddeford account for the most sales coordinator openings in Maine. Portland drives the largest share due to its concentration of hospitality businesses, regional corporate offices, and wholesale trade activity, while Bangor and Augusta generate steady openings tied to healthcare systems and state-affiliated organizations headquartered there.
Are there remote sales coordinator jobs in Maine?
Yes, though they make up a smaller share of openings than fully in-office roles, since much of the work involves coordinating with on-site teams, clients, and vendors. About 0% of sales coordinator openings tied to Maine are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements more common than fully remote. Client communication, proposal drafting, and CRM management are the tasks most frequently handled off-site.
How can I get hired as a sales coordinator in Maine with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through customer service or administrative assistant roles at Maine-based employers in hospitality, healthcare, or retail distribution, then moving laterally into sales support. Companies like Hannaford Supermarkets and regional hotel groups regularly hire for front-facing roles that build the client communication and order management skills sales coordinator positions require. Completing a business or marketing degree at the University of Maine or Southern Maine Community College and pursuing internships with local distributors or tourism businesses helps candidates compete for direct sales coordinator openings with no prior title.
Where can I find and apply to sales coordinator jobs in Maine?
You can find and apply to sales coordinator jobs in Maine on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state. Search the listings for roles that match your experience and location, then apply directly to the positions that fit.
