Description
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is seeking experienced, high-performing, and driven Specialty Sales Representatives to join our expanding commercial organization. This is a unique opportunity to play a meaningful role in the launch and growth of our cardiometabolic portfolio, including Plozasiran (siRNA targeting APOC3), developed for patients with rare and high-need cardiovascular conditions such as Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) and Severe Hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG).
This role is critical to delivering launch excellence by driving prescriber activation, accelerating therapy adoption, and ensuring sustained utilization within complex healthcare environments. The Specialty Sales Representative will operate with strategic agility, strong clinical acumen, and disciplined execution to positively impact patient outcomes.
About Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals:
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARWR) is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company that develops medicines that treat intractable diseases by silencing the genes that cause them. Using a broad portfolio of RNA chemistries and efficient modes of delivery, Arrowhead therapies trigger the RNA interference mechanism to induce rapid, deep, and durable knockdown of target genes. RNA interference, or RNAi, is a mechanism present in living cells that inhibits the expression of a specific gene, thereby affecting the production of a specific protein. Arrowhead’s RNAi-based therapeutics leverage this natural pathway of gene silencing.
Arrowhead is focused on developing innovative drugs for diseases with a genetic basis, typically characterized by the overproduction of one or more proteins that are involved with disease. The depth and versatility of our RNAi technologies enables us to potentially address conditions in virtually any therapeutic area and pursue disease targets that are not otherwise addressable by small molecules and biologics. Arrowhead is leading the field in bringing the promise of RNAi to address diseases outside of the liver, and our clinical pipeline includes disease targets in the liver and lung with a promising pipeline of preclinical candidates.
Arrowhead’s corporate headquarters is in Pasadena, CA with research and development teams in Madison, WI and San Diego, CA. Our employees are nimble, science-driven innovators who are collaborating to bring new therapies to patients in need.

Sales Representative Jobs in Iowa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales representative in Iowa?
Most sales representative roles in Iowa do not require a state-issued license, though insurance sales representatives must obtain an Iowa Producer License through the Iowa Insurance Division by completing a pre-licensing course and passing the state exam. For all other sales paths, employers typically look for a bachelor's degree combined with internship or related work experience. Starting in inside sales, customer service, or account coordination at Iowa-based companies is the most common entry route.
Which companies hire sales representatives in Iowa?
Employers hiring sales representatives in Iowa right now include Andrew Meier, Hibu, and ECHO ELECTRIC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Iowa's strong insurance, financial services, and agricultural equipment industries mean that both corporate headquarters and regional offices in the state maintain consistent year-round sales hiring.
Which Iowa cities have the most sales representative jobs?
Urbandale, Des Moines, and Cedar Rapids have the most sales representative openings in Iowa. Des Moines dominates as the state's financial and insurance hub, anchored by large employers like Principal Financial Group and Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, while Cedar Rapids and the Quad Cities benefit from a mix of manufacturing, agriculture, and regional corporate offices that keep sales hiring active across those markets.
Are there remote sales representative jobs in Iowa?
Yes, and they are more common than in many other fields, particularly for inside sales and SaaS or software account executive roles that rely on phone and video outreach rather than in-person visits. About 67% of sales representative openings tied to Iowa are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the broader shift toward digital sales motions. Territory field sales roles, especially in agricultural equipment and medical devices, remain predominantly in-person.
How can I get hired as a sales representative in Iowa with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for inside sales associate or sales development representative roles at Iowa-based employers, where quota pressure is lower and formal training is built in. Companies like Principal Financial Group and regional insurance agencies across Des Moines routinely hire new graduates and offer structured licensing and onboarding programs. Earning an Iowa Producer License before applying for insurance sales roles gives candidates a meaningful edge, as does any retail or customer-facing experience that demonstrates persuasion and follow-through.
Where can I find and apply to sales representative jobs in Iowa?
