FLOORING INSTALLATION & DELIVERY SCHEDULER

Subcontractor Coordinator / Scheduler | Full-Time | $27.50-$30/HR + Benefits

We need an organized person who can keep our installations, deliveries, customers, and installers moving smoothly.

Premier 106 year, third-generation, family-owned flooring company serving throughout the Chicago area need a Flooring Installation & Delivery Scheduler to coordinate our daily flooring installations and material deliveries. You'll be the key connection between our customers, installers, purchasing team, and office staff — helping make sure jobs are properly scheduled, materials are ready, and everyone knows what needs to happen next.

You don't need to be a flooring expert. We can teach you flooring. We're looking for someone who knows how to organize, communicate, follow through, and get things done.

What You’ll Do

· Schedule and coordinate flooring installations and material deliveries

· Assign subcontractor installers and manage daily installation schedules

· Coordinate with purchasing to ensure materials are available on time

· Confirm customer installations and installer schedules

· Communicate with customers, installers, and team members by phone, email, and text

· Handle scheduling changes and customer service needs

· Maintain accurate job information, paperwork, tickets, and reports

· Use our scheduling software (RFMS Schedule Pro) to keep jobs organized and moving forward

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is:

· Subcontractor Relations: Managing availability, negotiating schedules, and verifying specialized trade insurance/credentials.

· Work Order Interpretation: Reviewing floor plans, measurements, and material lists to accurately estimate installation timelines.

· Problem resolution: Handing on-site delays, missed appointments, or material shortages in real times.

· Must be highly organized and detail-oriented

· Must have strong communication & customer service skills

· Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines

· Dependable and able to follow established processes

· Comfortable making and receiving phone calls and responding to emails/texts

· A team player who is willing to learn and cross-train

· Proficient with basic computer applications

3+ years of customer service experience preferred. Experience scheduling installations, deliveries, construction, home services, furnishings, or flooring is preferred.

Flooring experience is not required — we will train the right person.
