Strategic Finance Manager Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategic finance manager in Arizona?
The concrete path in Arizona starts with a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics, followed by several years in FP&A, corporate finance, or management consulting. Arizona does not require a state-issued license to work as a strategic finance manager, but earning a CFA or CPA credential meaningfully strengthens candidacy at the state's largest employers. Hiring managers at Arizona's major corporations and healthcare systems typically look for demonstrated experience leading budgeting cycles and presenting to senior leadership before considering candidates for this role.
Which companies hire strategic finance managers in Arizona?
Employers hiring strategic finance managers in Arizona right now include Oscar Health, CVS Health, and Edward Jones, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arizona's concentration of corporate headquarters, regional financial hubs, and large healthcare systems means demand for strategic finance leadership stays consistent throughout the year rather than clustering in a single hiring season.
Which Arizona cities have the most strategic finance manager jobs?
Tempe, Phoenix, and Scottsdale account for the most strategic finance manager openings in Arizona. Phoenix leads because it is home to the state's largest concentration of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and major healthcare systems, while Scottsdale draws demand from wealth management and real estate finance, and Tempe has grown as a hub for fintech and technology companies that have relocated or expanded in the East Valley over the past several years.
Are there remote strategic finance manager jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and more than most fields. Strategic finance managers work primarily with data, models, and cross-functional stakeholders, making the role well suited to remote or hybrid arrangements. About 100% of strategic finance manager openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly Arizona employers have accepted flexible work for analytical and planning roles. The portions most likely to remain remote are FP&A modeling, long-range planning, and financial reporting, while roles involving close executive partnership or capital allocation decisions tend to require more in-office presence.
How can I get hired as a strategic finance manager in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a financial analyst or senior financial analyst role at a large Arizona employer and building toward a manager title from within. Companies such as Banner Health, Intel, and major Phoenix-area real estate investment firms routinely hire new finance graduates into rotational or analyst programs that feed into strategic finance leadership over time. Lateral moves from accounting, corporate development, or management consulting are also common. Completing a CFA Level I exam or earning a CPA license gives candidates without direct management experience a concrete credential Arizona hiring managers recognize as a signal of commitment to the field.
Where can I find and apply to strategic finance manager jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to strategic finance manager jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and target industry, and apply directly through each listing. No account creation is required to search and apply.
