- Assist in preparing financial statements, account analyses, and budget-to-actual and period-over-period variance explanations.
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process in accordance with established deadlines.
- Partner with operations and supply-chain personnel to ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory and operating costs.
- Assist with year-end audit requirements.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions as needed.
- Maintain Fixed Assets subledger and related processes.
- Support maintenance of policies and procedures documentation.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to work with and analyze financial data and support business decisions.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and clear communication while interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; an associate’s degree combined with substantial relevant accounting experience may be considered.
- Two or more years of accounting experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with IFRS preferred.
- Background in public accounting or auditing is preferred.
- Experience in the mining, manufacturing, or construction industry is highly desirable.
