We are looking for a talented Maintenance Team Leader on 3rd Shift to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Morristown, TN.
Job Summary:
Coordinates the activities of a group of employees in order to meet established production specifications and schedules including volume, cost, wastage targets and quality standards.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Upholding Quality: Following standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures like SPC and poka-yoke will ensure high-quality outputs.

Supporting Delivery: Monitoring team performance and coordinating tasks will help meet work specifications, schedules, and quality standards.

Facilitating Communication: Effectively communicating with team members and support teams will ensure smooth operations and quick resolution of issues.

Fostering Continuous Improvement: Participating in training and development, and coaching less experienced team members, will drive ongoing improvements.

Encouraging Teamwork: Actively engaging in ways to improve quality, safety, processes, and material flow will enhance overall team performance.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
-
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
-
Candidates must possess direct experience in Maintenance of various CNC machines, forging presses, furnaces, SPM, Robots etc.
-
Should be knowledgeable about CNC machine architecture, PLC programming, mechanical drawings, hydraulic systems, etc.
-
Familiarity with forging presses and billet heating systems is essential.
-
Firsthand experience with Fanuc robots is considered an added advantage.

Candidates should demonstrate the ability to resolve minor and critical issues with a proactive "yes I can do it" attitude.

It is necessary to provide detailed, clear, and accurate data through EMaint, including downtime, information, labor, etc.
-
Routine preventive maintenance (PM) activities must be performed.
-
Adherence to safety norms and guidelines.
-
Active participation in turnover and improvement meetings is expected.
