The typical path moves through individual contributor sales roles, into sales management, and then to director-level leadership before reaching VP. Nebraska's concentration in insurance and financial products means licensing credentials carry real weight, even when not strictly required by the posting.
How much do vice president saleses make in Nebraska?
Vice president saleses in Nebraska earn a median of about $126,990 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,410 for the lowest 10% to over $227,870 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire vice president saless in Nebraska?
Nebraska vice president sales roles are posted by RailPros, WoodmenLife, and Buildertrend and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Nebraska's mix of Fortune 500 insurance carriers, agricultural technology firms, and regional financial institutions means senior sales leadership openings appear across a wider range of sectors than many comparably sized states.
Which Nebraska cities have the most vice president sales jobs?
Omaha, Lincoln, and Kearney have the most vice president sales openings in Nebraska. Omaha leads because it is home to the state's largest concentration of corporate headquarters in insurance, financial services, and logistics, while Lincoln's openings cluster around state government vendors, university-adjacent technology firms, and regional distributors.
Are there remote vice president sales jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, and more than most fields, since vice president sales work is fundamentally relationship-driven and not tied to a fixed physical location. About 83% of vice president sales openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly companies have accepted distributed senior sales leadership. Strategic and planning responsibilities travel well remotely, while enterprise account management and team coaching typically require periodic in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a vice president sales in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a quota-carrying individual contributor role at a Nebraska employer that promotes from within, such as a regional account executive or territory manager position at an Omaha-based insurance carrier or agricultural technology company. Building toward VP means moving into a sales team lead or sales manager role first. Earning a FINRA license or a Certified Sales Leadership Professional credential gives candidates an edge when applying to Nebraska's heavily regulated financial and insurance sectors.
