Which insurance companies sponsor H-1B visas in Arizona?
State Farm, Nationwide, Farmers Insurance, USAA, and Banner Life Insurance have filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications in Arizona. Regional carriers and third-party administrators operating in the Phoenix metro area also appear in DOL disclosure data. Sponsorship patterns vary by company and year, so reviewing OFLC disclosure records directly gives the most accurate picture of which employers are actively filing.
Which cities in Arizona have the most insurance H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix accounts for the majority of insurance H-1B positions in Arizona, with Scottsdale and Tempe following closely. These three cities host the largest concentration of insurance carriers, managing general agents, and insurtech firms in the state. Chandler also has a growing presence due to its financial services corridor, which includes several insurance operations with H-1B hiring history.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Roles that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a related field are the ones most likely to qualify as specialty occupations. In insurance, that typically includes actuaries, underwriters, data scientists, financial analysts, software engineers supporting insurance platforms, and risk management specialists. General claims adjusting or sales roles without a defined degree requirement are less likely to meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find insurance H-1B sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface insurance roles in Arizona where employers have H-1B sponsorship history. Because sponsorship willingness isn't always advertised in job postings, using a platform that cross-references DOL filing data with active listings, as Migrate Mate does, saves significant time compared to filtering through general job boards manually.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in insurance?
Arizona does not impose state-level restrictions on H-1B employment beyond federal requirements, but the state's insurance regulatory environment requires certain roles to hold Arizona Department of Insurance licenses. Licensing requirements apply to the individual, not the visa category, so H-1B workers in licensed roles must still complete the same state licensing process as any other employee. Employers typically factor licensing timelines into the onboarding process for sponsored hires.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B insurance jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
