Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a full time inpatient role at Bridgeport Hospital, a 400-bed level 2 trauma center and teaching hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Bridgeport Hospital, part of the Yale New Haven Health System, houses Connecticut’s only burn center.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Do:
- provide exceptional nutrition care to patients on inpatient units;
- be well versed in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) and Malnutrition Identification;
- work every 5th weekend and rotating holidays providing hospital-wide coverage; and
- participate in performance improvement and/or outcome measurement initiatives; and
- be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
What You Bring:
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential;
- excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups;
- strong verbal and written communication skills, including clinical documentation;
- strong time management skills; and
- the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.
