Which investment management companies sponsor E-3 visas in Georgia?
Invesco, headquartered in Atlanta, is among the most prominent investment management employers in Georgia with a history of sponsoring work visas including the E-3 visa. Other firms with Georgia presences that have sponsored investment roles include BlackRock, State Street Global Advisors, and Fidelity Investments. Boutique asset managers and family offices in Atlanta's Buckhead financial district also occasionally sponsor E-3 positions, though sponsorship is not guaranteed at any employer.
Which cities in Georgia have the most investment management E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the significant majority of investment management E-3 opportunities in Georgia. Midtown and Buckhead are the primary financial districts, hosting asset managers, private equity firms, and registered investment advisers. Outside Atlanta, Alpharetta has a growing financial services presence with several fund administration and fintech firms. Other Georgia cities rarely have the concentration of investment management employers needed to generate consistent E-3 sponsorship activity.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that typically qualify are those requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field, such as financial analyst, portfolio analyst, equity research associate, risk analyst, and fund accountant. These positions must meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard, meaning the degree must be a normal requirement for entry into the occupation. General client service or sales roles without a specific degree requirement are less likely to qualify.
How do I find investment management E-3 sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for this search, allowing you to filter by visa type, industry, and state to surface investment management roles in Georgia where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. Because E-3 sponsorship willingness is not always stated in standard job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that filters for sponsoring employers saves significant time compared to applying broadly and asking about sponsorship case by case.
Are there any Georgia-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in investment management?
Georgia does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal E-3 obligations, but investment management roles may require Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) licensing such as the Series 65 or Series 7, which are tied to the employer and not your visa category. Some employers will only sponsor candidates who are already licensed or who can sit for exams quickly after hire. Confirming licensing expectations alongside visa sponsorship willingness before applying is worthwhile.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 investment management jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
