INTRODUCTION
Madison-Davis is currently in search of an SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant for a Consulting Firm in Silver Spring, MD. This is a Permanent/Full-Time position. Candidates must be open to working onsite in Silver Spring, MD 2 days per week. Relocation Assistance IS available.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support and configure SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, with a primary focus on Finance (FI)
- Support financial processes including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and financial close
- Perform Central Business Configuration (CBC) activities
- Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Assist with system testing, deployments, and ongoing enhancements
- Create and maintain functional documentation and process flows
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions
- Provide user support and training as needed
- Act as a liaison between CPV and its vendors, 3rd party managed service providers, and consultants supporting SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
- Keep up to date with SAP roadmap and inform leadership of key upcoming deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–7 years of SAP functional experience, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud FI
- 1+ Full Life-Cycle Implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- Strong understanding of core FI processes (GL, AP, AR, FA)
- Hands-on experience with: Company code set up and organizational structures, CBC (Central Business Configuration) in S/4HANA Public Cloud
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams
- Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge and experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Group Reporting, S/4HANA Public Cloud Billing & Professional Services
- Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and IT General Controls
- Experience designing or working with CDS Views & Familiarity with SAP best practices in a public cloud environment
