Which medical devices companies sponsor Green Card visas in Massachusetts?
Several large medical devices employers in Massachusetts have established Green Card sponsorship programs, including Boston Scientific (headquartered in Marlborough), Medtronic, Stryker, and Hologic. Mid-size and growth-stage companies concentrated in the Greater Boston and Route 128 corridor also sponsor, particularly for specialized engineering, clinical, and regulatory roles where qualified candidates are difficult to source domestically.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge hold the highest concentration of medical devices sponsorship roles, driven by proximity to research hospitals, MIT, and Harvard. Marlborough is a notable hub given Boston Scientific's headquarters there. Waltham, Lexington, and Burlington along the Route 128 corridor also have significant employer density, with manufacturing-focused roles more commonly found in Worcester and Springfield.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship?
Roles that typically qualify require specialized degrees and are difficult to fill domestically. These include R&D engineers (mechanical, electrical, biomedical), regulatory affairs specialists, quality assurance engineers, clinical scientists, software engineers working on embedded or FDA-regulated systems, and manufacturing process engineers. Positions requiring specific expertise in FDA 510(k) submissions or ISO 13485 compliance tend to see consistent sponsorship activity in Massachusetts.
How do I find medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type (Green Card), industry (Medical Devices), and state (Massachusetts) to see roles where employers have a documented history of sponsoring international candidates. This saves significant time compared to screening generic job postings. Migrate Mate also surfaces smaller Massachusetts med-tech employers that actively sponsor but are less visible on mainstream platforms.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Massachusetts's medical devices industry?
Massachusetts's high concentration of academic medical centers and FDA-regulated manufacturers means many employers are familiar with sponsorship processes, which can make the internal approval process smoother than in states with less immigration infrastructure. However, sponsorship is never automatic. Employers must demonstrate through the PERM labor certification process that no qualified U.S. worker is available, so highly competitive roles with large domestic applicant pools can be harder to sponsor regardless of employer willingness.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card medical devices jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
