About SiTime
SiTime is the Precision Timing company.
Timing is the heartbeat of all electronics, ensuring performance, resilience and scalability. For decades, quartz devices, non-silicon technology, have kept systems in sync, but they struggle in harsher, more demanding environments. MEMS-based Precision Timing delivers greater accuracy, smaller size and resilience. Today, MEMS timing powers over 400 applications, including high-growth ones in AI datacenters, automated driving, industrial and humanoid robots, wearables and IoT.
Our semiconductor MEMS programmable solutions offer a rich feature set that enables customers to differentiate their products with higher performance, smaller size, lower power, and better reliability. With more than 4 billion devices shipped, SiTime is changing the timing industry.

Which electronics companies sponsor H-1B visas in Michigan?
Michigan's automotive and industrial base drives most electronics H-1B visa sponsorship. Companies with documented H-1B filings in the electronics space include Aptiv, Magna International, Gentex Corporation, BorgWarner, and Delphi Technologies. Defense contractors and tier-one automotive suppliers are particularly active sponsors, as their hardware engineering roles consistently meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B approval.
Which cities in Michigan have the most electronics H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Detroit and its surrounding metro area, including Auburn Hills, Southfield, and Dearborn, concentrate the largest share of electronics H-1B roles due to automotive supplier headquarters in the region. Ann Arbor follows closely, supported by University of Michigan research spinoffs and tech-adjacent manufacturers. Grand Rapids has a smaller but growing presence in industrial electronics and medical device hardware.
What types of electronics roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Michigan?
Roles that regularly qualify include electrical engineers, hardware design engineers, embedded systems engineers, PCB layout engineers, RF engineers, and automotive electronics specialists. The H-1B requires the position to be a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field. Roles tied to Michigan's automotive sector, such as ADAS hardware and power electronics design, are particularly common.
How do I find electronics H-1B sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface electronics roles with H-1B sponsorship in Michigan without sifting through listings where sponsorship status is unclear. Given Michigan's concentration of automotive electronics employers, searching by city within the Detroit metro and filtering for hardware or electrical engineering roles will return the most relevant results.
Are there any Michigan-specific considerations for electronics H-1B sponsorship?
Michigan's electronics hiring is heavily tied to the automotive supply chain, which means sponsorship activity follows vehicle production cycles and R&D investment timelines. Many tier-one suppliers operate on procurement calendars that affect when roles open. Additionally, some Michigan employers in defense electronics may require security clearances, which non-citizens cannot hold, making those specific positions unavailable to H-1B candidates regardless of qualifications.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B electronics jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
