Which investment management companies sponsor H-1B visas in New Hampshire?
Fidelity Investments is the most prominent H-1B visa sponsor in New Hampshire's investment management sector, with a large operations and technology campus in Merrimack. Beyond Fidelity, regional registered investment advisers, wealth management firms, and fund administrators operating in Manchester and Nashua have filed H-1B petitions for specialized roles. Sponsorship activity is concentrated at larger firms with dedicated HR and legal infrastructure to manage petitions.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most investment management H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Merrimack and Manchester account for the majority of investment management H-1B activity in New Hampshire, driven largely by Fidelity Investments' campus in Merrimack. Nashua, as the state's second-largest city and part of the broader Boston metro corridor, also sees activity from financial services firms. Smaller wealth management and advisory offices exist in Concord and Portsmouth but file far fewer H-1B petitions.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Roles that consistently qualify include quantitative analysts, portfolio analysts, financial analysts, risk management specialists, compliance officers, and fund accounting professionals. These positions typically require at least a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field, satisfying the H-1B specialty occupation standard. Generalist roles without a specific degree requirement are less likely to qualify and may face greater scrutiny during adjudication.
How do I find investment management H-1B sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter by visa type, industry, and state to surface investment management roles in New Hampshire where employers are open to H-1B sponsorship. Beyond Migrate Mate, reviewing DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data can confirm which New Hampshire firms have sponsored H-1B workers in finance and investment roles historically, helping you prioritize applications toward employers with an established sponsorship track record.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in New Hampshire's investment management sector?
New Hampshire's investment management sector operates largely within the regulatory orbit of SEC-registered advisers and FINRA-member broker-dealers, meaning many roles also require specific securities licenses alongside H-1B status. Employers must file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor certifying prevailing wage compliance before petitioning USCIS. New Hampshire has no state income tax, which affects total compensation structuring but does not alter federal H-1B filing requirements.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B investment management jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
