Western Products and Renewal by Andersen of Northern Plains are seeking an experienced, driven, and people-focused Sales Manager to lead our sales organization. This is more than a sales leadership role. We are looking for a leader who can develop talent, hold teams accountable, mentor future leaders, and drive operational excellence while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of our sales organization, including sales growth, team development, lead management, showroom operations, customer satisfaction, profitability, and strategic planning. You will work closely with production, scheduling, operations, accounting, and marketing to ensure a seamless customer journey from the initial lead through project completion.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience within the construction or home improvement industry, with expertise in roofing, siding, windows, and doors. You must possess the ability to coach and develop sales professionals, establish accountability, and foster a culture aligned with our Core Values.

Position Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop all members of the sales team.
- Establish a culture of accountability, professionalism, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Conduct regular ride-alongs, field coaching, and sales development sessions.
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain top-performing sales professionals.
- Perform annual performance reviews and ongoing coaching conversations.
- Develop succession plans and future sales leaders within the organization.
- Address performance concerns promptly and provide actionable development plans.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and expectations are consistently followed.
Sales Performance & Accountability
- Own and drive sales growth, profitability, close rates, and departmental performance.
- Monitor and review sales benchmarks, scorecards, and key performance indicators.
- Analyze monthly sales reports and develop action plans when goals are not met.
- Review sales pipelines, opportunities, lead conversion rates, and closing percentages.
- Ensure sales staff follow up on leads and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Review salesperson estimates, commissions, contracts, and job documentation for accuracy.
- Manage sales territories and strategically adjust resources to maximize market opportunities.
- Review jobs sold reports and compare performance against budget objectives.
Training & Industry Expertise
- Lead training programs for both new and existing sales staff.
- Ensure team proficiency with products, warranties, financing programs, CRM systems, estimating platforms, and manufacturer resources.
- Maintain expertise in window and door replacement, roofing systems, siding systems, gutters and gutter protection systems, and customer service and project management.
- Stay informed on industry trends, products, competitors, and market conditions.
Customer Experience & Cross-Department Collaboration
- Champion an exceptional customer experience throughout every stage of the customer journey.
- Partner closely with production, scheduling, service, accounting, and operations teams.
- Assist in root cause analysis and resolution of customer concerns.
- Manage and help resolve escalated customer issues when necessary.
- Ensure communication commitments to customers are met consistently.
- Promote the importance of completion certificates, customer reviews, and customer satisfaction programs.
- Monitor homeowner satisfaction metrics and work with the team to continually improve results.
Operational Excellence
- Manage lead assignment processes and optimize lead distribution.
- Review contract documentation and job submissions for completeness and timeliness.
- Participate in collections efforts and weekly A/R meetings as required.
- Assist with lead generation efforts and marketing initiatives.
- Develop sales programs to support company goals and strategic objectives.
- Oversee showroom operations while maintaining a professional, welcoming environment.
Community & Business Development
- Represent the company in the community with professionalism.
- Build relationships with contractors, vendors, builders, and referral partners.
- Participate in home shows, retail events, contractor meetings, and industry events.
- Work closely with marketing to improve brand awareness and lead generation efforts.
- Support strategic growth and expansion initiatives across all locations.
Qualifications
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, construction management, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and industry experience will be considered.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of sales leadership experience.
- Proven experience managing and developing sales teams.
- Strong construction or home improvement industry background.
- Demonstrated knowledge of roofing, siding, windows, doors, and exterior remodeling.
- Experience managing KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and sales performance metrics.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales management tools.
- Experience handling customer escalations and delivering outstanding customer service.
