Which medical devices companies sponsor Green Card visas in North Dakota?
North Dakota's medical devices employers sponsoring Green Cards include manufacturing and distribution firms tied to the state's healthcare infrastructure, particularly around Fargo and Bismarck. Companies involved in surgical instruments, diagnostic equipment, and orthopedic devices have filed PERM labor certifications for engineers, quality managers, and regulatory affairs specialists. Checking OFLC disclosure data by employer name and occupation code reveals verified sponsorship history for specific companies in the state.
Which cities in North Dakota have the most medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Fargo is North Dakota's primary hub for medical devices employment, supported by proximity to Sanford Health and a growing manufacturing base. Bismarck, as the state capital and a regional healthcare center, also generates demand for device professionals. Grand Forks has a smaller but active presence, partly linked to University of North Dakota research partnerships. Most PERM filings from North Dakota medical devices employers originate from Fargo-area employers.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship?
Roles that most commonly qualify require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard used in employment-based Green Card categories. In medical devices, these include quality engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, manufacturing engineers, biomedical engineers, research and development scientists, and clinical applications specialists. Positions requiring specialized knowledge of FDA regulatory pathways, ISO 13485, or device testing standards are particularly well-suited for sponsorship through the EB-2 or EB-3 categories.
How do I find medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs in North Dakota?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for medical devices jobs with Green Card sponsorship in North Dakota, pulling from verified employer sponsorship data so you can see which companies have active or historical PERM filing records in this state. That makes it more targeted than a general job search. You can also cross-reference results with OFLC disclosure data to confirm an employer's sponsorship history before applying.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in North Dakota's medical devices sector?
North Dakota's relatively small labor market means fewer competing applicants for some specialized device roles, but it also means fewer employers with established Green Card sponsorship programs compared to larger states. Employers must demonstrate through PERM that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role, which can be more straightforward for highly technical positions such as regulatory engineers or device validation specialists. Prevailing wage requirements are set using BLS wage data for North Dakota-specific occupational codes, so compensation benchmarks reflect local market rates rather than national averages.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card medical devices jobs in North Dakota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
