AGC Electronics America (AGCEA) manufactures high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries for the semiconductor industry. We also serve as a distributor for other AGC Electronics Materials manufactured in Japan and elsewhere. We are headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, and are a division of AGC Flat Glass North America.
THE POSITION
AGCEA has an excellent opportunity for a Forming Operator 1 on our Day Shift. Persons in this job role are responsible for preparing, mixing, and testing slurry conditions. This job role is also responsible for assembling/disassembling plaster molds and forms for SiC products according to drawing specifications.
The selected candidate will be a trusted teammate who exercises initiative and demonstrates AGCEA values.
Responsibilities
- Follows Manufacturing Functional Procedures to form SiC products
- Collects, measures, and mixes raw materials according to specified formulas to create a slurry mixture
- Operates vacuum mixers and associated systems using control panel buttons, switches, and gauges
- Measures slurry conditions using lab equipment such as a pH meter, viscosity meter, thermometer, graduated cylinder, scale, and infrared drying scale
- Assembles and disassembles plaster molds using straps, braces, and torque wrenches
- Monitors in-process product to perform specific tasks during the forming, drying, and part removal processes
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a minimum of 6 months – 1 year of related manufacturing experience
- Able to follow written and verbal direction
- Able to utilize hand tools and operate machinery
- Able to follow safety guidelines and practices
- Requires completion of general education
- Must be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to move and adapt to work in a variety of positions i.e., standing, sitting, bending, and moving between work areas
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
- Willing and able to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines and complete special projects
- Ability to work under tight deadlines for completion of projects
OUR PAY and BENEFITS
The selected candidate will be eligible for an hourly rate between $19.50 - $23.95 per hour, depending on candidate experience.
