Director, Product Marketing — AI & Platform
About Eightfold
Eightfold was founded with a vision to solve for employment in our society. For decades, the connection between individuals and opportunities has been based on who people are and the strength of their network, rather than their potential. Eightfold leverages artificial intelligence to transform how organizations think about skills and capabilities — and how jobs and career decisions are made. Eightfold offers the industry's first AI-powered Talent Intelligence Platform to transform how organizations plan, hire, develop, and retain a diverse workforce. To date, Eightfold AI has received more than $410 million in funding and a valuation of over $2B from leading investors. If you are passionate about solving one of the most fundamental challenges of our society — employment — and want to work on hard business problems as part of an exceptional growth story, Eightfold is the place to be.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing who is equal parts AI storyteller and product marketing operator. In this senior individual contributor role, you will help define how Eightfold communicates its AI capabilities — including our Talent Intelligence platform, Responsible AI approach, and emerging agentic functionality — while owning core product marketing responsibilities across key areas of the product. You will serve as connective tissue between engineering, product, sales, and the market. Some days you will translate complex AI concepts into crisp, customer-ready narratives; other days you will be driving a launch, sharpening messaging, building enablement, or contributing to analyst and competitive work. This role requires the ability to move comfortably between deep technical conversations and commercial go-to-market execution.
What You Will Do
Shape Eightfold's AI Narrative
- Define and evolve Eightfold's AI narrative for the market — articulating how our platform's capabilities, including agentic functionality, Talent Intelligence, and Responsible AI, deliver meaningful outcomes for enterprise customers
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value by working closely with engineering, AI research, and product leadership
- Build high-authority content including technical explainers, thought leadership pieces, briefing materials, and vision decks that help customers, prospects, and analysts understand Eightfold's platform and approach
- Equip sales, customer success, and other go-to-market teams to confidently speak to our AI architecture, platform capabilities, and Responsible AI framework — developing the messaging, explanation frameworks, and enablement needed for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Monitor the AI landscape — including emerging agent frameworks, LLM developments, and evolving regulations — and translate those trends into actionable guidance for messaging, positioning, and field education
Own Core Product Marketing Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain product messaging and positioning for assigned product areas, grounded in customer insights, value drivers, and competitive dynamics
- Lead go-to-market planning and execution for product launches, partnering closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver clear and well-sequenced launches
- Create and maintain a robust library of enablement assets — pitch decks, one-pagers, talk tracks, and demo flows — that equip sellers and customer-facing teams to engage effectively at every stage of the buying cycle
- Partner deeply with Product Management, contributing customer insight, competitive context, and market perspective into roadmap discussions, packaging decisions, and prioritization
- Conduct ongoing market and customer research, including win/loss analysis, persona development, and field insight gathering, to continuously sharpen positioning and strategy
- Drive competitive intelligence, ensuring the field can accurately and confidently position against incumbent HR platforms and AI-native competitors
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- 5–8+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, with a track record of supporting technically complex or AI/ML-driven products at a senior level
- Demonstrated ownership of core product areas, including developing messaging and positioning, supporting roadmap conversations, and driving go-to-market readiness end to end
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts — including AI architecture, data systems, and emerging techniques — into clear, audience-appropriate narratives for buyers, analysts, and internal teams
- Exceptional writing and content development skills, with experience producing technical explainers, product narratives, and enablement materials without heavy reliance on agencies
- Deep experience partnering with engineering, AI research, and Product Management — able to contribute both structure and insight across technical and commercial discussions
- Track record of equipping sales and customer-facing teams with the messaging, frameworks, and competitive clarity needed to win in complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals
- Strong ability to manage go-to-market readiness for new capabilities, driving alignment across Product, Sales, CS, and broader GTM teams
- Ability to synthesize AI trends, competitive movements, and regulatory developments into actionable guidance for messaging, positioning, and internal education
Preferred
- Experience supporting or leading analyst relations efforts, contributing technical and product clarity for evaluations and briefings
- Experience in a multi-product or platform environment where shared AI foundations support multiple product experiences
- Comfort operating in fast-moving or ambiguous environments, with a demonstrated ability to drive clarity across teams and functions
- Familiarity with enterprise HR technology, talent acquisition systems, or adjacent enterprise platforms

Do Marketing Director roles qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Yes, Marketing Director positions typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship when they require specialized marketing knowledge and a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field. The role must demonstrate specialty occupation requirements through strategic marketing responsibilities, team leadership, and degree-level expertise in marketing principles and digital marketing technologies.
What degree do I need for Marketing Director visa sponsorship?
You need a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, advertising, or closely related field. Some employers accept degrees in psychology, economics, or journalism if combined with extensive marketing experience. The key is showing your education directly relates to marketing strategy, consumer behavior, and business development functions.
Which visa types work best for Marketing Director positions?
H-1B is most common for Marketing Directors, but other options include L-1A for managers transferring within multinational companies, E-3 for Australians, and TN for Canadians/Mexicans under management consultant or economist categories. O-1 is possible for directors with extraordinary achievements in marketing or advertising campaigns.
What are common visa denial reasons for Marketing Director roles?
Denials often occur when the position appears too general or administrative rather than requiring specialized marketing expertise. USCIS may question whether the role truly needs a bachelor's degree, especially if job duties focus on basic promotional activities rather than strategic marketing planning, brand management, or digital marketing analytics.
How can I strengthen my Marketing Director sponsorship case?
Document your strategic marketing experience with specific examples of campaign development, brand management, market research, and ROI analysis. Show how your degree education applies to marketing technology, consumer behavior analysis, and strategic planning. Include portfolio examples demonstrating specialized knowledge beyond general business skills.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Marketing Director jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
