Warehouse Manager Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a warehouse manager in Minnesota?
Most warehouse managers in Minnesota start in lead or supervisor roles after completing a degree or certificate in logistics, supply chain, or operations management from institutions such as the University of Minnesota or Minnesota State colleges. While Minnesota does not require a state-issued license for warehouse managers, employers consistently expect OSHA certification and forklift operator credentials. Progressing from inventory associate or shift lead to manager is the most common path in the state.
Which companies hire warehouse managers in Minnesota?
Companies currently hiring warehouse managers in Minnesota include DSG, Cencora, and CoreCivic, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Minnesota's strong base of retail, food manufacturing, and industrial distribution companies means steady openings across the Twin Cities metro and outstate regions throughout the year.
Which Minnesota cities have the most warehouse manager jobs?
Shakopee, Hugo, and Osseo have the most warehouse manager openings in Minnesota. The Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro dominates because it anchors Target's headquarters, major 3M distribution facilities, and General Mills supply chain operations, while secondary cities like Rochester and Duluth carry openings tied to healthcare logistics and Great Lakes port distribution respectively.
Are there remote warehouse manager jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, but they're rare. Warehouse management is an inherently hands-on, on-site role requiring direct oversight of staff, inventory, and facility operations. About 25% of warehouse manager openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and these are almost always positions in network planning, vendor compliance, or multi-site operations coordination rather than floor management.
How can I get hired as a warehouse manager in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing a warehouse associate, inventory control, or lead associate role at a large Minnesota employer such as Target, Amazon, or a regional food distribution company, then building toward a supervisor designation within one to two years. Companies like Target run structured internal advancement programs from team lead to operations manager. Earning an OSHA certification and a supply chain certificate from a Minnesota State college strengthens your candidacy significantly before applying for manager-level roles.
Where can I find and apply to warehouse manager jobs in Minnesota?
You can find and apply to warehouse manager jobs in Minnesota on Migrate Mate, which lists current Minnesota openings updated regularly. Find roles that match your experience level and location preference, then apply directly to the employer through each listing.
