Location: UberDisplays Warehouses – 640 & 650 Myatt Drive, Madison, TN 37115

Status: Full-time, on-site

Pay Range: $85,000–$110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Position Summary

The Director of Warehouse Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for all warehouse and inventory functions. This role ensures organizational accountability for inventory, optimizes warehouse operations, establishes and enforces policies and procedures, maintains all warehouse equipment, ensures safety & health compliance with TOSHA and OSHA standards, and drives process improvements across the warehouse. This is a working warehouse, not just storage. It receives container loads of stock LED display products, prepares large and heavy product for customer shipment, and operates alongside the Service Department’s full-service Repair Center. This role collaborates with project management, service, sales, and finance teams to support operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and reporting that impacts the bottom line. This is an in-person role that requires the successful candidate to be on site, working alongside their team to execute and provide accountability in all functions within the scope of the role.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Oversight & Accountability

• Hold full accountability for warehouse inventory at both facilities, from receiving through issue to installation and service crews.

• Provide executive and cross-functional visibility into stock levels, availability, and critical inventory metrics.

• Collaborate with Finance to maintain accurate reporting on inventory valuation, usage, and cost impact.

• Build, maintain, and optimize inventory reporting and KPIs, including inventory accuracy, cycle count completion, shrink, and stockouts.

• Lead warehouse inventory audits, including cycle counts and physical counts, and implement corrective measures as needed.

• Manage inventory of spare parts, components, and tools in partnership with the Service Department’s Repair Center, so parts are available when repairs and field service need them.

Stock LED Display Products & Fulfillment

• Own receiving, storage, and fulfillment of UberDisplays’ stock LED display product lines.

• Prepare and optimize the warehouse to receive full container loads, including scheduling deliveries, unloading, inspecting, and putting away product.

• Organize storage of large, heavy display products so they are safe, accessible, and ready to pull, with the racking, layout, and handling equipment they require.

• Establish and maintain dedicated operational space for packaging, repackaging, and staging product to customer shipment-ready condition.

• Ensure proper equipment and handling procedures are in place to move, package, and load large display products safely and without damage.

Strategic Warehouse Operations & Technology

• Lead planning and optimization of warehouse layout, space utilization, and workflows across both facilities.

• Own the warehouse inventory and maintenance systems (currently MaintainX), and propose, implement, and optimize software or technological tools to improve inventory tracking, reporting, and operational efficiency.

• Oversee receiving, storage, staging, and outbound operations, partnering with the Logistics Coordinator on shipping and freight.

• Develop and manage the warehouse operating budget, including equipment, supplies, and capital requests.

• Manage vendor relationships for warehouse equipment, service, and supplies.

• Oversee warehouse facility upkeep, repairs, and building-service vendors at 640 and 650 Myatt Drive through the Warehouse & Facilities Manager, coordinating with the Office Coordinator on shared and office spaces.

Team Leadership & Delegation

• Directly manage the Warehouse & Facilities Manager, delegating day-to-day operational responsibilities while ensuring accountability.

• Work hands-on alongside the warehouse crew in receiving, staging, loading, and material handling, leading by example on safe work practices.

• Recruit, develop, and train warehouse personnel on policies, procedures, inventory systems, and operational best practices.

• Collaborate with the Project Management and Service Department leadership to ensure Installation and Service Technicians are trained on warehouse procedures and inventory protocols.

Equipment Maintenance & Safety

• Maintain all warehouse equipment, including preventive maintenance, inspections, and record-keeping.

• Ensure warehouse operations comply with OSHA/TOSHA standards, company policies, and applicable regulations, including Hazard Communication and powered industrial truck (forklift) requirements.

• Lead safety training, enforce safe material-handling procedures, and promote a culture of safety.

• Serve on the Safety Management Committee and own completion of warehouse-related corrective actions.

• Lead investigations of warehouse incidents and near misses, and implement preventive measures.

Policies & Procedures

• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve all warehouse policies, protocols, and operational procedures.

• Ensure warehouse procedures are documented in the company SOP library and reviewed at least annually.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of warehouse or inventory management experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.

• Demonstrated success implementing inventory, WMS, or CMMS systems and building operational reporting.

• Working knowledge of OSHA general industry standards for warehousing, including powered industrial trucks, Hazard Communication, and walking-working surfaces.

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.

• Ability to operate forklifts and other powered material-handling equipment.

• Must obtain OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification and forklift operator certification within 90 days of hire, if not already held.

Preferred

• Certified forklift trainer.

• Experience receiving container shipments and handling large, heavy, or high-value product.

• ASCM/APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP).

• Experience in a project-based, custom fabrication, or exhibit/display environment.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Work on site and hands-on in a warehouse environment with exposure to temperature variation, noise, and moving equipment.

• Stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods, and regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Occasionally work outside normal hours to support project deadlines and peak demand.
