Many Maine employers in healthcare technology and financial services also value industry-specific certifications such as a CISA or a CPCU for insurance accounts. Building experience in a sales coordinator or customer success role at a Maine company is a common entry path.
How much do account managers make in Maine?
Account managers in Maine earn a median of about $63,900 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $39,040 for the lowest 10% to over $107,270 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire account managers in Maine?
Employers hiring account managers in Maine right now include Cobalt Benefits Group, Paquin & Carroll Insurance, and CVS Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Maine's concentration of insurance, health technology, and regional distribution companies means account manager openings are particularly active in the greater Portland corridor.
Which Maine cities have the most account manager jobs?
Portland, Biddeford, and Maine have the most account manager openings in Maine. Portland drives the bulk of demand as the state's commercial center, home to financial services firms and technology companies, while Bangor and Augusta generate openings through healthcare systems, state government contractors, and regional distribution operations headquartered there.

Companies such as IDEXX Laboratories and Unum Group run structured associate programs that develop early-career candidates. A demonstrated record managing projects or client relationships in adjacent roles like marketing coordinator or inside sales representative is the credential that most consistently opens the door.
