We are seeking a Senior Accounting Associate – Midstream Accounting to support our midstream business in a fast‑paced, public‑company environment. This role oversees accounting and analysis for a portfolio of customers and vendors across our pipeline systems and plays a critical role in delivering visibility into gas volumes we transport, third‑party throughput, and related financial results.
Special focus to be placed on:
- Own accounting for midstream activities across pipeline systems, including customer and vendor interactions.
- Analyze and reconcile gas volumes flowed on Company‑owned systems and third‑party gas transported, ensuring alignment between operational data and financial results.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month‑end and quarter‑end close.
- Deliver dynamic operational and financial reporting to support visibility into throughput, volumes, and performance at both the system and financial statement level.
- Support external financial reporting and public‑company audit requirements, including preparation of audit‑quality support.
- Execute and maintain SOX‑compliant controls over midstream accounting processes.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Commercial, FP&A, and IT to resolve data issues and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation using AI tools, Hyperion, BI platforms, and ERP systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–6+ years of progressive accounting or analytical experience
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large, operationally driven data sets
- Solid understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and internal controls
- CPA preferred (or active CPA candidate)
- Public company and/or public accounting experience
- Experience in midstream, energy, or asset‑intensive environments
- Exposure to operational data, throughput metrics, or volume‑based reporting
- Prolonged periods working at a desk in front of a computer.

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
