Accounting Specialist Jobs in Ohio

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable activity in a timely and accurate manner.
• Daily data entry of routine vendor invoices and internal check requests
• Data entry of Intercompany invoices and non-routine invoices
• Maintaining documentation for audit purposes
• Contact with vendors/customers to resolve questions and/or expedite payment of invoices
• Communicate with internal personnel to resolve questions or discrepancies related to invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation
• Prepare accounts receivables, progress billings (e-mailing customer invoices to customers)
• Reviews cash postings to accounts (morning/afternoon deposits and wire transfers)
• Contacts customers on past due accounts, reviewing Letters of Credit, making decisions on credits to be issued and sending customer statements
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in 10 Key
• Adept with Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft Excel
• Previous Accounting Experience Preferred
• Some College coursework in Finance/Accounting Preferred
