Advertising Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a advertising in Colorado?
Advertising is not a state-licensed profession in Colorado, so there is no required state board exam or registration. Most employers in Colorado expect at minimum a bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, or communications from an accredited program. Building a strong portfolio of campaign work and gaining hands-on experience through internships at Denver or Boulder agencies is the most direct path into a full-time role.
Which companies hire advertisings in Colorado?
Employers hiring advertisings in Colorado right now include Spectrum, Zoom Media, and Root Agency, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's advertising market is anchored by Denver's dense concentration of agencies, media companies, and large corporate marketing departments that recruit consistently throughout the year.
Which Colorado cities have the most advertising jobs?
Denver, Westminster, and Fort Collins lead Colorado for advertising openings. Denver dominates the market as the state's commercial center, home to major corporate headquarters, regional agency offices, and media companies, while Boulder's tech and consumer brand ecosystem and Colorado Springs' growing business community each generate steady demand for advertising professionals.
Are there remote advertising jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 17% of advertising openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and digital nature of most advertising work. Roles in digital campaign management, paid media strategy, copywriting, and programmatic advertising are the most consistently available as remote positions.
How can I get hired as a advertising in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an agency internship or a coordinator-level role at one of Denver's independent or mid-size agencies, where junior candidates are regularly hired and mentored. Large Colorado employers like DISH Network and VF Corporation also run marketing associate programs that welcome candidates from adjacent roles such as social media coordination or content creation. A portfolio demonstrating real campaign work, even from coursework or freelance projects, gives applicants a meaningful edge.
