Advertising Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a advertising in Florida?
Advertising is not a state-licensed profession in Florida, so there is no Florida-specific exam or registration required to work in the field. Most employers hire candidates with a bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, or communications from an accredited program. Building a portfolio of campaign work, earning platform certifications such as Google Ads or Meta Blueprint, and gaining experience through internships at Florida agencies or in-house marketing departments are the concrete steps that move candidates into professional roles.
Which companies hire advertisings in Florida?
Employers hiring advertisings in Florida right now include Terraboost Media, Best Version Media, and Affinitiv, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's large tourism, hospitality, real estate, and media sectors mean both major national agencies with Florida offices and regional independent shops maintain steady advertising hiring throughout the year.
Which Florida cities have the most advertising jobs?
Orlando, Miami, and Tampa account for the largest share of advertising openings in Florida. Miami's concentration of international brands, Latin American media companies, and a large agency community drives the bulk of demand, while Orlando's tourism and entertainment industry and Tampa's growing corporate headquarters presence create consistent advertising hiring in those markets as well.
Are there remote advertising jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 56% of advertising openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work, campaign planning, copywriting, media buying, and performance reporting, takes place entirely in digital environments. Roles tied to in-person client presentations or on-site production tend to require office or studio presence, while strategy, analytics, and paid media positions are the most commonly offered as fully remote.
How can I get hired as a advertising in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a paid internship or junior coordinator role at a Florida agency or in-house marketing team. Large Florida employers including theme park operators, regional healthcare networks, and hospitality brands regularly hire entry-level advertising assistants and marketing coordinators who transition into dedicated advertising roles. Building a portfolio with student campaigns or freelance projects, earning free certifications through Google Ads or Meta Blueprint, and applying to associate media planner or campaign coordinator openings at Miami or Orlando agencies gives candidates without direct experience a competitive starting point.
