Client Partner Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client partner in Minnesota?
Most Minnesota employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline along with several years of account management or consultative sales experience. Client partner is not a state-licensed role in Minnesota, so there is no board exam or registration required. Candidates who strengthen their background with certifications in project management, CRM platforms, or industry-specific solutions from Minnesota's dominant sectors such as healthcare IT or financial services tend to be more competitive.
How much do client partners make in Minnesota?
Client partners in Minnesota earn a median of about $75,370 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $40,810 for the lowest 10% to over $146,200 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire client partners in Minnesota?
Employers hiring client partners in Minnesota right now include Infosys, T-Mobile, and Horizontal, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and large regional managed-service providers makes the state one of the more active markets for this role in the Midwest.
Which Minnesota cities have the most client partner jobs?
Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Edina lead for client partner openings in Minnesota. The Minneapolis-St. Paul metro drives the bulk of demand given its density of corporate headquarters, regional financial institutions, and enterprise technology firms, while Rochester sees consistent activity tied to Mayo Clinic's substantial vendor and partner ecosystem.
Are there remote client partner jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and more than most fields, because client partner work is fundamentally relationship- and communication-driven rather than tied to a physical site. About 60% of client partner openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have accepted distributed delivery for this role. Strategic account management and enterprise software client partner positions tend to offer the most remote flexibility.
How can I get hired as a client partner in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from an adjacent customer-facing role such as account coordinator, inside sales representative, or customer success associate at a Minnesota employer. Large organizations including UnitedHealth Group, Optum, and mid-size managed-service providers in the Twin Cities regularly bring on associate account managers and client services coordinators as feeder roles into client partner positions. Building proficiency in Salesforce and earning a recognized CRM or project management credential strengthens a candidacy considerably at this level.
Where can I find and apply to client partner jobs in Minnesota?
You can find and apply to client partner jobs in Minnesota on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers active in the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and target industry, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
