Align your credentials to pharma consulting frameworks
AbbVie's Business Consultant roles sit at the intersection of commercial strategy and life sciences operations. Framing your experience around market access, payer strategy, or launch readiness signals you understand the pharmaceutical context, not just general consulting.
Target AbbVie roles through Migrate Mate's job board
Filter by visa sponsorship type and role category on Migrate Mate to surface Business Consultant openings at AbbVie that match your authorization needs. This saves time you'd otherwise spend screening postings that don't sponsor your specific visa category.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation early
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. Gather transcripts and a detailed job description that maps your degree field directly to the Business Consultant responsibilities AbbVie has outlined in the posting.

Find Business Consultant at AbbVie JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does AbbVie sponsor H-1B visas for Business Consultants?
Yes, AbbVie sponsors H-1B visas for Business Consultant roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria, given the degree requirements tied to pharmaceutical strategy, market access, or operations. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, timing your application around AbbVie's hiring cycle to align with the April filing window matters.
How do I apply for Business Consultant jobs at AbbVie?
Applications go through AbbVie's careers portal, where you can filter by function and location. Migrate Mate also aggregates AbbVie Business Consultant openings with sponsorship details surfaced upfront, so you can confirm a role supports your visa type before applying. Tailor your application to the specific therapeutic area or business unit the role supports.
Which visa types does AbbVie commonly sponsor for Business Consultant roles?
AbbVie sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Business Consultant positions. For longer-term pathways, AbbVie also files EB-2 and EB-3 petitions. The right category depends on your nationality, degree level, and the specific scope of the role, so confirm the details during the offer stage.
What qualifications does AbbVie expect for Business Consultant roles?
AbbVie's Business Consultant roles generally require a bachelor's degree at minimum, with preference for advanced degrees in business, life sciences, or a related field. Experience in pharmaceutical commercial strategy, managed care, or market access is valued. Roles tied to specific therapeutic areas, such as oncology or immunology, may expect relevant industry or consulting background alongside the degree.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Business Consultant at AbbVie?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B standard processing runs three to six months after the April lottery; premium processing through USCIS cuts that to 15 business days. E-3 and TN processing at the consulate or port of entry is faster, often under a month. Green Card sponsorship through PERM and I-140 typically adds one to three years beyond the initial work visa.
