INTRODUCTION
Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. Consumers across the globe need safe, transparent financing while merchants want to provide users with their preferred way to pay and convert more buyers. To help achieve this vision, we are hiring a Senior Product Manager for our 1:Many Growth team. Affirm's Distribution Partnerships program - internally called " 1:Many " - is one of the highest-leverage growth levers at the company. Instead of integrating merchant by merchant, we integrate once into a platform merchants already use, and every merchant on that platform becomes reachable through that single integration.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is responsible for:
- Own and grow Affirm's partner portfolio - making it easier and more frictionless for merchants to onboard and offer Affirm as a payment method to their customers. This includes taking product ownership of Affirm's existing vertical software partnerships, and growing the broader portfolio of platform partners still being stood up.
- Partner Acceleration Strategy - building the durable capabilities that make every future partner integration faster to launch and easier to scale, rather than solving the same problem one partner at a time.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including commercial, merchant risk, design, product analytics, and engineering to define, launch and grow integrations with platform partners. Effective stakeholder management and ability to successfully navigate organizational dynamics are a must for success. You should be outcomes-driven with a very high bias for action.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, launch, and grow integrations with payment and platform partners.
- Build durable, repeatable capabilities through a Partner Acceleration Strategy that makes future partner integrations faster to launch.
- Build relationships with platform partners to gather feedback and insights on product performance, and use it to drive merchant growth.
- Define and prioritize product features and requirements to improve the customer, partner, and merchant experience.
- Create and manage the product roadmap for the broader 1:Many growth team.
- Develop success metrics/OKRs to measure the effectiveness of these initiatives.
- Partner with commercial and product marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new partner integrations and features.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple technical software products from kickoff to post-launch, driving meaningful business impact you can clearly articulate.
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration — diving into technical details with engineers, iterating with designers in Figma, and analyzing funnel performance with data analysts.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to navigate complex dynamics and drive alignment.
- Execution-oriented with a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles and blockers.
- Adept at transforming incomplete or conflicting inputs into clear, actionable plans.
- Demonstrated track record of shipping high-quality products on time.
- Comfortable engaging in the commercial aspects of product development, including representing the product externally, setting expectations, and influencing outcomes that benefit both Affirm and its partners.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bonus points: Experience in Fintech, Lending, ecommerce, or BNPL.

Frame your fintech domain depth early
Affirm's Product Lead roles sit at the intersection of financial regulation, credit decisioning, and consumer UX. Tailor your resume to show you've owned roadmaps in regulated financial products, not just general SaaS or e-commerce contexts.
Verify your visa type fits Affirm's process
Affirm sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT candidates, but each path has different filing windows. If you're on OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility before your first recruiter call so you can speak confidently about your authorized work timeline.
Target roles aligned with Affirm's lending pillars
Affirm organizes product work around merchant networks, consumer credit, and platform infrastructure. Applying to open Product Lead positions that map directly to one of these pillars, rather than generic openings, signals strategic fit and increases your chances of clearing the initial screen.
Use Migrate Mate to surface Affirm's open Product Lead roles
Affirm's Product Lead openings don't always appear consistently across job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Affirm roles that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions the company has confirmed it will support.
Align your offer timeline with H-1B cap deadlines
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start. Affirm's recruiting cycle can run 8 to 12 weeks, so targeting a start date that clears the cap-subject filing window prevents a gap between offer acceptance and authorized employment.
Clarify PERM implications before negotiating your offer
Affirm has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 green cards for technical talent. If you're pursuing permanent residency, ask your recruiter early whether your role is pre-approved for PERM or requires a new DOL labor certification, since that affects your total timeline significantly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Affirm sponsor H-1B visas for Product Leads?
Yes, Affirm sponsors H-1B visas for Product Lead roles. The company has a consistent track record of filing H-1B petitions for product talent, including both cap-subject registrations for new candidates and cap-exempt transfers for those already holding H-1B status with another employer. Confirming sponsorship intent with your recruiter at the offer stage is the most reliable step.
How do I apply for Product Lead jobs at Affirm?
You can browse open Product Lead positions directly on Affirm's careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters for Affirm roles that include visa sponsorship. The process typically involves a recruiter screen, a product strategy interview, cross-functional panel rounds, and a final leadership conversation. Preparing a case study grounded in fintech or lending product decisions strengthens your candidacy significantly.
Which visa types does Affirm commonly use for Product Lead roles?
Affirm sponsors H-1B and TN visas for Product Leads, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates in or recently completing U.S. degree programs. For longer-term employment, Affirm has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship, which involves a DOL PERM labor certification before USCIS petition filing. Your specific visa path depends on your citizenship and current status.
What qualifications does Affirm expect for a Product Lead role?
Affirm typically looks for Product Leads with experience owning end-to-end roadmaps in regulated or data-intensive environments. Backgrounds in payments, credit, lending, or financial infrastructure are especially relevant. You'll be expected to demonstrate cross-functional leadership across engineering and data science, comfort with quantitative product decisions, and fluency with how regulatory constraints shape product design in consumer finance.
How do I time my application to avoid gaps in work authorization?
If you're on F-1 OPT, apply early enough that an offer can be finalized before your OPT expiration, leaving room for an H-1B cap filing or a STEM extension if eligible. USCIS H-1B registration opens each March for an October 1 employment start. TN candidates have more flexibility since TN status can be obtained at a port of entry with a valid job offer and supporting documentation.
