INTRODUCTION
Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. Consumers across the globe need safe, transparent financing while merchants want to provide users with their preferred way to pay and convert more buyers. To help achieve this vision, we are hiring a Senior Product Manager for our 1:Many Growth team. Affirm's Distribution Partnerships program - internally called " 1:Many " - is one of the highest-leverage growth levers at the company. Instead of integrating merchant by merchant, we integrate once into a platform merchants already use, and every merchant on that platform becomes reachable through that single integration.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is responsible for:
- Own and grow Affirm's partner portfolio - making it easier and more frictionless for merchants to onboard and offer Affirm as a payment method to their customers. This includes taking product ownership of Affirm's existing vertical software partnerships, and growing the broader portfolio of platform partners still being stood up.
- Partner Acceleration Strategy - building the durable capabilities that make every future partner integration faster to launch and easier to scale, rather than solving the same problem one partner at a time.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including commercial, merchant risk, design, product analytics, and engineering to define, launch and grow integrations with platform partners. Effective stakeholder management and ability to successfully navigate organizational dynamics are a must for success. You should be outcomes-driven with a very high bias for action.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, launch, and grow integrations with payment and platform partners.
- Build durable, repeatable capabilities through a Partner Acceleration Strategy that makes future partner integrations faster to launch.
- Build relationships with platform partners to gather feedback and insights on product performance, and use it to drive merchant growth.
- Define and prioritize product features and requirements to improve the customer, partner, and merchant experience.
- Create and manage the product roadmap for the broader 1:Many growth team.
- Develop success metrics/OKRs to measure the effectiveness of these initiatives.
- Partner with commercial and product marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new partner integrations and features.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple technical software products from kickoff to post-launch, driving meaningful business impact you can clearly articulate.
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration — diving into technical details with engineers, iterating with designers in Figma, and analyzing funnel performance with data analysts.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to navigate complex dynamics and drive alignment.
- Execution-oriented with a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles and blockers.
- Adept at transforming incomplete or conflicting inputs into clear, actionable plans.
- Demonstrated track record of shipping high-quality products on time.
- Comfortable engaging in the commercial aspects of product development, including representing the product externally, setting expectations, and influencing outcomes that benefit both Affirm and its partners.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bonus points: Experience in Fintech, Lending, ecommerce, or BNPL.
COMPENSATION
- Pay Grade - N
- Equity Grade - 9
- Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Align your PM portfolio to fintech products
Affirm prioritizes PMs with experience shipping consumer financial products, credit decisioning tools, or payment rails. Before applying, reframe your portfolio around outcomes like conversion rates, risk reduction, or loan performance rather than generic product metrics.
Verify your OPT or CPT timeline before applying
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorization window covers Affirm's typical hiring cycle. Affirm sponsors H-1B cap cases, but USCIS lottery registration opens in March and employment can't start before October 1, so timing your offer matters.
Target Affirm's platform and growth PM tracks
Affirm's PM openings cluster around merchant integrations, underwriting, and consumer app experiences. Focusing your outreach on these product areas, rather than applying broadly, improves your chances of landing a role with a team actively building and backfilling.
Ask explicitly about Green Card sponsorship during offers
Affirm sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, but PERM labor certification timelines vary by role and location. During offer negotiations, ask the recruiting team which immigration pathway they support for your level and whether they use outside immigration counsel.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open PM roles by visa type
Affirm posts Product Manager roles across multiple levels and product areas at any given time. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for positions open to your visa category so you're applying where sponsorship is already confirmed, not guessing.
Prepare for TN classification if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN status for PMs typically requires demonstrating your role qualifies under the Computer Systems Analyst or Engineer category, which depends heavily on job description framing. Review the DOL's USMCA professional categories and confirm your offer letter aligns before your border crossing or consular appointment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Affirm sponsor H-1B visas for Product Managers?
Yes, Affirm sponsors H-1B visas for Product Manager roles. The company participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery and has sponsored both initial cap cases and transfers for existing H-1B holders. If you're already on H-1B with another employer, Affirm can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start working before USCIS approves the petition under portability rules.
How do I apply for Product Manager jobs at Affirm?
Applications go through Affirm's careers site, where PM roles are listed by team and seniority level. Before applying, tailor your resume to highlight fintech or consumer financial product experience, since Affirm's hiring teams look for direct relevance to credit, payments, or lending workflows. You can also browse current openings filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate to confirm sponsorship eligibility before submitting.
Which visa types does Affirm commonly use for Product Manager hires?
Affirm sponsors H-1B, TN visa, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Product Manager roles. For longer-term employment, the company supports Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, which involve PERM labor certification filed with the DOL. The right visa depends on your citizenship, current status, and career stage, so confirm the pathway with Affirm's recruiting or immigration team during the offer stage.
What qualifications does Affirm expect for Product Manager roles?
Affirm typically expects PM candidates to have a bachelor's degree in a technical or business field, though advanced degrees are common for senior-level roles. Beyond credentials, the company looks for experience managing product roadmaps in financial services, consumer technology, or API-driven platforms. Demonstrated fluency with data, credit risk concepts, or merchant integrations strengthens an application significantly for roles tied to Affirm's core lending products.
How do I navigate the visa sponsorship process after receiving an offer from Affirm?
Once Affirm extends an offer, their immigration counsel typically handles the H-1B petition or LCA filing with the DOL, depending on your visa type. For cap-subject H-1B cases, the process starts with USCIS lottery registration in March, so offers for new graduates often come with an October 1 start date built in. Confirm your intended start date, current visa status, and any grace period constraints with the recruiter early to avoid gaps in work authorization.
