Align your credentials to healthcare operations
Emory Healthcare evaluates Program Manager candidates on direct healthcare or clinical operations experience. Before applying, document how your background maps to patient services, care coordination, or health system workflows rather than general project management.
Target roles tied to funded programs
Emory Healthcare's sponsorship activity concentrates in program areas with stable grant or institutional funding. Focus your search on positions within oncology, research administration, or population health, where multi-year program commitments make sponsorship practical for the employer.
Ask about LCA filing timing during offer negotiation
Emory Healthcare files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before any H-1B petition can proceed. During offer discussions, ask the HR team directly whether the role has been reviewed for sponsorship eligibility so filing can begin immediately after your acceptance.
Browse verified sponsorship openings on Migrate Mate
Searching broadly wastes time on roles where sponsorship is unlikely. Use Migrate Mate to filter Program Manager openings at Emory Healthcare by visa type so you're only engaging with positions where sponsorship has been confirmed for international candidates.
Prepare a credentials evaluation for non-U.S. degrees
If your bachelor's or master's was earned outside the United States, obtain a USCIS-recognized credential evaluation before your interview. Emory Healthcare's HR team and immigration counsel will need this to confirm your degree satisfies the specialty occupation standard for an H-1B petition.

Find Program Manager at Emory Healthcare JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Emory Healthcare sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Emory Healthcare sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Because Program Manager is a broad title, sponsorship eligibility depends on the specific department and role definition. Positions in clinical research, population health, or grant-funded programs tend to have the clearest sponsorship pathway.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Emory Healthcare?
Applications go through Emory Healthcare's careers portal, where you can filter by role and location. Before applying, review the job description carefully to identify whether the position is tied to a specific program or funding source, since those roles carry stronger sponsorship likelihood. Migrate Mate also lists verified Program Manager openings at Emory Healthcare filtered by visa sponsorship type, which makes it easier to prioritize the right applications.
Which visa types does Emory Healthcare commonly use for Program Manager positions?
Emory Healthcare uses H-1B as the primary sponsorship vehicle for Program Managers in long-term roles. For candidates already in the U.S., F-1 OPT and CPT provide a bridge during the hiring process. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management categories. Emory also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for employees moving toward permanent residence after establishing tenure.
What qualifications does Emory Healthcare expect for Program Manager roles?
Most Program Manager postings at Emory Healthcare require a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, nursing, or a related clinical field, with several years of program or project management experience in a healthcare setting. Roles tied to clinical research or grant administration often require familiarity with IRB processes, compliance frameworks, or federal funding regulations. A PMP certification strengthens your application but is rarely listed as a hard requirement.
How do I plan my timeline around Emory Healthcare's sponsorship process?
H-1B sponsorship follows the federal cap-subject lottery, which means petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date. If you're already cap-exempt through a previous H-1B or a qualifying institution, the timeline is more flexible. Build at least three to four months between offer acceptance and your intended start date to allow for DOL Labor Condition Application certification and USCIS petition processing under standard timelines.
