Frame your SDR experience around enterprise deals
Fortinet's sales teams focus on enterprise and mid-market cybersecurity accounts. Before applying, reframe your resume around outbound prospecting, quota attainment, and multi-stakeholder deal cycles rather than transactional or SMB sales motion.
Target regional sales hubs in your applications
Fortinet concentrates Sales Development Manager headcount in specific metro areas tied to their regional sales teams. Applying to locations where they actively run outbound pipelines improves your odds of landing a role that supports sponsorship.
Align your start date to the H-1B cap timeline
If you need H-1B sponsorship, USCIS only accepts cap-subject petitions once per year with an October 1 start date. Coordinate your offer acceptance timing with Fortinet's HR team so your petition window isn't missed.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Fortinet SDR roles
Search Fortinet's Sales Development Manager openings on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles open to visa sponsorship, saving you from applying to listings that exclude international candidates.
Get your LCA-supporting documents ready before the offer stage
Once Fortinet extends an offer, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. Having your degree certificates, transcripts, and employment history organized speeds up this step significantly.

Find Sales Development Manager at Fortinet JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Fortinet sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Development Managers?
Yes, Fortinet sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Development Manager roles. Your role description and degree field need to align clearly, so work with Fortinet's HR team to confirm this during the offer stage.
Which visa types does Fortinet commonly use for Sales Development Manager roles?
Fortinet sponsors H-1B for most full-time international hires, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. If you're on OPT, make sure your end date gives Fortinet enough runway to file an H-1B petition before your authorization expires, accounting for the cap registration window in March.
What qualifications and experience does Fortinet expect for Sales Development Manager roles?
Fortinet typically looks for candidates with a background in B2B technology sales, experience managing or coaching SDR teams, and familiarity with enterprise pipeline generation. A degree in business, marketing, or a related field strengthens your H-1B specialty occupation case.
