Certify Your Clinical Credentials Before Applying
Arizona requires Clinical Assistants to meet specific training and certification standards. Confirm your credentials align with state requirements before submitting applications, since HonorHealth's credentialing team will verify these independently during onboarding.
Target HonorHealth's High-Volume Clinical Departments
HonorHealth consistently posts Clinical Assistant openings across its emergency, surgical, and outpatient departments. Applying to roles in high-turnover units increases your chances of reaching a hiring manager with active sponsorship authorization rather than a frozen headcount.
Browse Open Roles Through Migrate Mate
Clinical Assistant openings at HonorHealth that include visa sponsorship can be filtered and tracked through Migrate Mate, so you're not manually hunting through general job boards that don't surface sponsorship eligibility clearly.
Time Your OPT Application Around HonorHealth's Hiring Cycles
F-1 students should file for OPT at least 90 days before their program end date. HonorHealth's Clinical Assistant hiring tends to concentrate in Q1 and Q3, so aligning your OPT start date with those windows avoids authorization gaps during onboarding.
Understand the PERM Timeline for Green Card Sponsorship
Healthcare employers like HonorHealth can sponsor Clinical Assistants through EB-2 or EB-3, but PERM labor certification with DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before the I-140 is filed. Factor this into your long-term status planning before your H-1B period runs short.

Does HonorHealth sponsor H-1B visas for Clinical Assistants?
Yes, HonorHealth has sponsored H-1B visas for Clinical Assistant roles. Because Clinical Assistant is classified as a specialty occupation requiring specific education and clinical training, it can qualify under H-1B. The sponsorship process is managed through HonorHealth's internal HR and legal teams, so you'll want to confirm eligibility with your recruiter during the offer stage rather than assuming it applies to every open position.
How do I apply for Clinical Assistant jobs at HonorHealth?
Applications go through HonorHealth's careers portal at honorhealth.com/careers. Search for Clinical Assistant roles filtered by location across their Phoenix-area campuses and outpatient centers. Migrate Mate also lists HonorHealth Clinical Assistant openings tagged by visa sponsorship eligibility, which makes it easier to identify which postings are open to international candidates before you invest time in a full application.
Which visa types does HonorHealth commonly use for Clinical Assistant roles?
HonorHealth has sponsored Clinical Assistants under H-1B, TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying clinical occupations), F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT. For candidates seeking permanent residence, the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories are also available, typically initiated after a period of H-1B employment. The right category depends on your nationality, degree level, and how the role is classified internally.
What qualifications does HonorHealth expect for Clinical Assistant candidates?
HonorHealth typically expects a high school diploma or equivalent at minimum, with preference for candidates holding a clinical certification such as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Experience in a patient-facing healthcare setting strengthens your application. For visa sponsorship purposes, roles requiring a specific degree or certification in a clinical field carry more weight when USCIS evaluates the specialty occupation standard for H-1B.
How do I handle the timing between a job offer and visa filing at HonorHealth?
Once HonorHealth extends an offer and confirms sponsorship, their legal team initiates the visa process, which for H-1B includes a Labor Condition Application filed with DOL before USCIS submission. Cap-subject H-1B petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, so offers made outside that window may require a gap period or a change-of-status bridge. If you're on OPT, confirm your authorization end date aligns with HonorHealth's projected start date.
