JOB DETAILS
Working under the general direction of the President, performs a wide variety of duties in the development, introduction and maintenance of our products. These activities are in support of the overall business plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and distribute the “Product Development Specification” to include, but not be limited to:
- A general preamble describing the overall scope of the project.
- A detailed definition of the product design requirements.
- A detailed analysis of the market for this product will include, but not be limited to:
- Cost targets
- Competitors
- Argument for why the new product is needed
- Market potential (dollars)
- Expected market share growth over 5 years
- A product introduction schedule.
- Manage projects to completion and assume overall responsibility for meeting target dates and target costs.
- Coordinate preparation of the “Product Introduction Package” with the respective sales manager to include, but will not be limited to:
- Sales brochure
- Technical brochure
- Feature/benefit analysis
- Price sheets
- Order forms
- IOM manuals
- Parts list (where applicable)
- PowerPoint introduction program
- Integration into Specifier and Informer electronic media
- Responsible for the preparation of list price tables, order forms, and technical literature.
- Maintaining of accurate records of product line sales and profits.
- Maintaining the list prices.
- Maintaining competitor information.
- Development of reports, training materials, training sessions and special projects completed from time to time.
- The product manager possesses technical knowledge, and competitive market knowledge, above and beyond the average employee and will be called upon to share that expertise as described.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- 10-15 years of experience in HVAC industry
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or HVAC Engineering Product experience
- Microsoft Office, Power Point, Market Analysis, ROI Analysis in Excel
- Experience giving presentations
- Traveling to trade shows for presentations once or twice a year
