Frame Your Experience Around Staffing Technology
Jobot builds internal tools for recruiters and job matching. Tailor your resume to highlight product work on marketplace platforms, workflow automation, or two-sided networks. Generic SaaS PM experience reads weaker than experience that maps directly to recruiting tech problems.
Confirm Sponsorship Willingness Before Applying
Jobot recruits at high volume and not every Product Manager opening is approved for sponsorship. Ask your recruiter directly which roles have confirmed sponsorship support before investing time in interviews. This saves weeks on openings that won't move forward for visa holders.
Prepare Your Specialty Occupation Documentation Early
USCIS requires H-1B petitions to demonstrate that a Product Manager role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Gather your degree transcripts, any relevant certifications, and a job description that ties specific duties to your academic field before your employer begins the I-129 filing.
Understand the TN Timeline for Canadian and Mexican Nationals
If you qualify for TN status as a Canadian or Mexican national and Jobot confirms it as an option, the TN can often be obtained at a port of entry without waiting for USCIS processing. Confirm the job duties support a qualifying TN category before your start date.
Track Your OPT Expiration Against Jobot's Hiring Cycle
Jobot's product team hiring can move at varying speeds. If you're on F-1 OPT, map your remaining authorized work period against a realistic offer-to-start timeline. STEM OPT extension applications must be filed with USCIS before your current EAD expires to maintain continuous work authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Open Roles Accepting Visa Holders
Not all Product Manager listings at Jobot surface clearly as visa-friendly. Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type so you're targeting positions where H-1B, OPT, or TN sponsorship is already confirmed, rather than applying broadly and losing time to eligibility screens.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jobot sponsor H-1B visas for Product Managers?
Yes, Jobot has sponsored H-1B visas for Product Manager roles. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every open position, so it's worth confirming with your recruiter early in the process. Because Jobot operates as a staffing and recruiting company, roles vary by team and product area, and not all openings carry sponsorship approval.
How do I apply for Product Manager jobs at Jobot?
You can browse open Product Manager roles at Jobot through Migrate Mate, which filters positions by visa sponsorship type so you're only seeing listings relevant to your status. When applying, tailor your application to Jobot's product context, specifically their AI-driven recruiting platform and internal tooling, rather than submitting a generic product management resume.
Which visa types does Jobot commonly use for Product Manager roles?
Jobot has sponsored H-1B visas for Product Managers and has also worked with candidates on F-1 OPT, including STEM OPT extensions. TN status is a viable path for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role's duties map to an approved TN category. Confirm which visa type Jobot is prepared to support for the specific role you're targeting.
What qualifications does Jobot typically expect for Product Manager roles?
Jobot generally looks for Product Managers with experience owning a product roadmap, working cross-functionally with engineering and design, and driving measurable outcomes. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, so a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, or business is typically expected.
How do I time my application given visa processing requirements?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed for an October 1 start date, so if you need a new H-1B, your employer must register in the March lottery. F-1 OPT holders should factor in their remaining EAD validity. TN renewals and H-1B transfers for those already in status carry no fixed start date and can move faster, often within a few weeks with USCIS premium processing.
