Frame your credentials around construction project delivery
Kiewit's Program Manager roles center on EPC and large capital projects in energy. Tailor your resume to show scope management, schedule control, and multi-site delivery experience rather than general operations management.
Target postings that list multiple project types
Kiewit staffs Program Managers across power generation, renewables, and industrial construction simultaneously. Applying to roles tied to active project pipelines in your discipline, not just open headcount, improves your odds of a sponsorship-inclusive offer.
Understand how TN status fits a Program Manager title
Canadian and Mexican nationals can pursue TN status for engineering management roles, but the TN category must align with your specific job duties and degree. Confirm with USCIS guidance that your role qualifies before assuming TN is available.
Negotiate sponsorship commitment during the offer stage
Kiewit's recruiting process moves quickly once an offer is extended. Ask explicitly during offer negotiation whether the role includes H-1B petition filing or PERM-based Green Card support, and get that commitment in writing before you accept.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles with sponsorship history
Searching general job boards won't surface Kiewit's sponsorship track record by role. Migrate Mate filters Program Manager openings at Kiewit specifically and surfaces positions where the company has a documented pattern of supporting international candidates.

Find Program Manager at Kiewit JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Kiewit sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Kiewit sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company operates across energy, power, and industrial construction projects that require experienced project leadership, and it has a history of filing H-1B petitions for qualified candidates in this function. Sponsorship is typically tied to specific project needs, so roles aligned with active capital programs are the strongest targets.
Which visa types does Kiewit commonly use for Program Manager roles?
Kiewit supports several visa categories for Program Managers, including H-1B, TN, and J-1 for temporary work authorization, and EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa classifications for candidates pursuing permanent residence. F-1 OPT and CPT are also utilized for candidates completing degree programs in engineering or construction management. The appropriate category depends on your nationality, degree, and employment timeline.
What qualifications does Kiewit expect for Program Manager positions?
Kiewit's Program Manager roles in energy and construction typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, combined with direct experience managing large capital or EPC projects. Demonstrated ability to oversee scope, budget, schedule, and cross-functional teams on multi-site projects is the practical standard. PMP certification strengthens a candidacy but is rarely listed as a hard requirement.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Kiewit?
You can apply directly through Kiewit's careers portal, where openings are posted by region and project type. For a faster view of roles where Kiewit has a documented sponsorship track record for Program Managers, browse listings on Migrate Mate, which aggregates positions filtered by visa sponsorship history. Tailor your application to the specific project discipline listed in the posting, as Kiewit evaluates candidates against active project requirements.
How do I plan my timeline if Kiewit is sponsoring my H-1B?
H-1B petitions are subject to the annual cap with a lottery selection process that runs in March for an October 1 start date. If you're already on OPT or a cap-exempt status, Kiewit can file outside the lottery window. Confirm whether your situation requires a cap-subject filing and build your job search timeline backward from the April lottery registration deadline to avoid gaps in work authorization.
