Position Summary:
The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), seeks an experienced Cardiac Robotic Surgeon to join our expanding Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. This is a unique opportunity to develop and lead a minimally invasive cardiac surgery program using state-of-the-art robotic technology. The successful candidate will integrate advanced techniques into practice, expand patient options, and improve outcomes through innovation, research, and education.
Position Highlights:
- Develop and lead a robotic-assisted minimally invasive cardiac surgery program.
- Perform advanced cardiac procedures, including robotic CABG and mitral valve repair.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate robotic approaches into surgical practice.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in clinical research and program development advancing minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
Program Highlights:
The ideal candidate will join a division comprised of the following:
- 11 adult cardiac surgeons
- 3 thoracic surgeons
- 20 advanced practice providers
- 14 perfusionists who are supported by a collaborative multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, anesthesiologists, cardiac intensivists, perfusionists, and APP’s.
- The MCS/ECMO service is staffed with 24/7 in-house coverage utilizing both ECMO specialists and perfusionists.
- This faculty position offers the opportunity to contribute to a well-established, multidisciplinary shock and MCS program at a tertiary care academic medical center.
As part of the Froedtert & MCW academic health system, you’ll join one of the most experienced cardiothoracic teams in the Midwest within Wisconsin’s largest and top-ranked teaching hospital.
