The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks a Cardiology Clinical Research Fellow at the Instructor level. This is a one-year post-doctoral clinical research training position for an MD or DO who has completed an internal medicine residency with a focus on clinical-translational studies of vascular endothelial function in humans.
Position Highlights:
- Expected to oversee the daily operation of the clinical laboratory, perform histories and physical exams.
- Perform minor office-based procedures following appropriate training (including but not exclusive to phlebotomy, vascular ultrasounds, and adipose pad biopsies).
- A full participant in the laboratory activities including journal club, reviewing manuscripts, writing up original research and reviews, and writing and critiquing grants.
- It is expected following training that the post-doctoral MD/DO will be in position to apply for intramural and extramural career development awards.
