Verify your medical physics credentials early
Texas Health Resources hiring managers expect board certification or eligibility through ABMP or CAMPEP-accredited programs. Confirm your credentials align with Texas state licensing requirements before applying, since credential gaps can delay or derail a sponsorship offer.
Target departments with active imaging needs
Radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging units at Texas Health Resources drive most Physics hiring. Search within those specific service lines rather than applying broadly, so your application lands with hiring teams who regularly work through the H-1B sponsorship process.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Physics openings
Sponsorship-eligible Physics roles at Texas Health Resources can be hard to identify from a standard job board. Use Migrate Mate to surface open Physics positions at employers with a confirmed H-1B sponsorship history, so you're only spending time on viable opportunities.
Align your offer timeline with H-1B cap deadlines
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start. Securing your offer and completing LCA filing with the DOL well before the February registration window opens gives your employer time to prepare the petition without rushing.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
Ask explicitly whether Texas Health Resources will cover H-1B filing fees and whether they support Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 after a defined tenure. Some health systems sponsor the initial H-1B but require a separate internal approval process for PERM filing.
Document clinical or research physics experience precisely
USCIS specialty occupation approvals for Physics roles hinge on demonstrating that the position requires a specific degree, not just a general science background. Tailor your resume and any supporting letters to show direct alignment between your degree field and the posted job duties.

Find Physics at Texas Health Resources JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Texas Health Resources sponsor H-1B visas for Physicss?
Yes, Texas Health Resources sponsors H-1B visas for qualified Physics candidates. The company has an established pattern of supporting international hires in clinical and technical roles, including Physics positions in radiation oncology and imaging. Sponsorship is employer-initiated, so you'll need a formal offer before USCIS filing can begin.
How do I apply for Physics jobs at Texas Health Resources?
You can apply directly through Texas Health Resources' careers portal, or use Migrate Mate to browse Physics openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, highlight any CAMPEP accreditation, ABMP board certification, and relevant clinical physics experience. Tailoring your application to the specific service line, such as radiation oncology or diagnostic imaging, improves your chances of reaching a sponsorship-ready hiring team.
Which visa types does Texas Health Resources commonly use for Physics roles?
Texas Health Resources sponsors Physics candidates under the H-1B nonimmigrant visa for initial work authorization. For longer-term pathways, the company has used EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, which involve PERM labor certification through the DOL. Candidates with advanced degrees in medical physics may also explore whether they qualify for an EB-2 National Interest Waiver, which bypasses PERM and doesn't require employer-driven filing.
What qualifications does Texas Health Resources expect for Physics roles?
Most Physics positions at Texas Health Resources require a master's or doctoral degree in medical physics or a closely related field from a CAMPEP-accredited program. Board certification through the American Board of Medical Physics is strongly preferred for clinical roles. Texas state licensure requirements may also apply depending on the specific position, and prior clinical residency experience is often expected for roles in radiation therapy or imaging physics.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for Physics hires at Texas Health Resources?
For H-1B sponsorship, the employer must first file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, which typically takes seven business days. The full H-1B petition processing at USCIS runs three to five months under standard processing. Premium processing, which USCIS currently adjudicates within 15 business days, is an option if your start date requires a faster decision. For Green Card sponsorship through PERM, the full timeline from labor certification to immigrant visa approval routinely runs two or more years.
