Align your background with MEDDIC
Zscaler's enterprise Sales hiring is heavily methodology-driven. Review the MEDDIC qualification framework and document specific examples where you've influenced budget decisions or navigated complex procurement cycles at mid-market or enterprise accounts.
Search DOL filings for Sales job titles
Before applying, search the DOL's LCA disclosure database to see which Sales job titles Zscaler has sponsored before. Focus your resume around those exact titles. Misaligned titles are a common reason sponsorship conversations stall early.
Target roles in Zscaler's Federal or SLED divisions
Zscaler's Federal and state, local, and education Sales divisions have distinct hiring cycles tied to government fiscal years. Timing your application around Q3 and Q4 of the federal calendar can improve response rates from recruiters filling quota-driven headcount.
Clarify your visa category early in recruiter screening
Zscaler sponsors multiple visa types including H-1B, E-3, and TN. Name your specific category in the first recruiter call. E-3 applicants in particular have no lottery, which simplifies the employer's filing timeline and can make your candidacy more attractive.
Use Migrate Mate to filter confirmed sponsoring Sales roles
Not every open Sales position at Zscaler will lead to a sponsorship conversation. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles where Zscaler has an active sponsorship record, so you're targeting positions where the process is already familiar to their HR team.
Request the I-129 filing timeline before signing your offer
If you're changing status from F-1 OPT, confirm with Zscaler's immigration team whether they'll file H-1B under cap-subject or cap-exempt rules and whether premium processing is standard. USCIS processing timelines affect your start date, and Sales offer letters often have tight onboarding windows.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Zscaler sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Zscaler sponsors H-1B visas for Sales positions. Their HR and immigration teams have experience navigating the USCIS cap-subject lottery process for Sales hires. If you're in the Sales function and hold a qualifying degree in a related specialty field, Zscaler's established sponsorship process applies to your role category.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Zscaler?
Apply through Zscaler's careers portal and flag your visa sponsorship needs early, ideally in your initial recruiter screen. Migrate Mate is the most direct way to browse open Sales roles at Zscaler that are tied to confirmed sponsorship activity, so you can prioritize your applications toward positions where international hiring is already part of their workflow.
Which visa types does Zscaler commonly sponsor for Sales positions?
Zscaler sponsors a range of visa categories for Sales roles, including H-1B, E-3 visa (for Australian citizens), TN visa (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), F-1 OPT and CPT for students, and J-1 visa exchange visitors. For longer-term pathways, they also support EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, which is relevant if you're planning to transition from a work visa to permanent residence.
What qualifications and experience does Zscaler expect for Sales hires who need sponsorship?
Zscaler's Sales roles generally require a bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field, which also satisfies H-1B specialty occupation requirements. Beyond credentials, they prioritize candidates with demonstrable enterprise or SaaS sales experience, familiarity with MEDDIC or similar frameworks, and a track record in cybersecurity or cloud infrastructure verticals.
How does the sponsorship timeline work if I receive a Sales offer from Zscaler?
Timeline depends on your visa category. E-3 and TN visas can typically be processed within a few weeks once your offer is confirmed, since neither requires a lottery. H-1B cap-subject filings are tied to the USCIS annual lottery in March, with an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, your STEM extension or cap-gap coverage may bridge the gap while USCIS processes your petition.
