Senior Compliance Officer

Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 + Comprehensive Benefits

A leading international banking institution is seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Officer to oversee and strengthen its regulatory compliance, BSA/AML, sanctions, and risk management framework across U.S. operations. This is a senior leadership role offering direct exposure to executive management, regulators, and key business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the Bank's Compliance, BSA/AML, KYC/EDD, and Sanctions programs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. banking laws, regulations, and regulatory expectations.
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement necessary policy, procedural, and control enhancements.
• Oversee transaction monitoring, suspicious activity investigations, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Manage regulatory examinations, audits, and compliance reviews, serving as a key point of contact for regulators and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and recommend corrective actions where needed.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs across the organization.
• Partner with senior management to provide strategic compliance advice and support business initiatives.
• Review and enhance policies, procedures, and internal controls to align with industry best practices.
• Prepare compliance reporting and presentations for executive leadership and governance committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or professional certifications (CAMS, CRCM, etc.) preferred.
• 10+ years of compliance experience within banking, financial services, or a regulated financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, KYC/CDD/EDD, and U.S. banking regulations.
• Experience managing regulatory examinations and interacting with U.S. regulatory agencies.
• Proven leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with a foreign bank or international banking organization is highly preferred, but not required.
