New Jersey does not issue a state-specific compliance license, but employers strongly prefer nationally recognized credentials such as the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM). Candidates targeting pharmaceutical roles often benefit from familiarity with FDA regulatory requirements given New Jersey's concentration of life sciences employers.
How much do compliance specialists make in New Jersey?
Compliance specialists in New Jersey earn a median of about $106,410 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,800 for the lowest 10% to over $205,030 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire compliance specialists in New Jersey?
Employers hiring compliance specialists in New Jersey right now include RBC, Ferrero, and MRK Partners, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New Jersey's dense concentration of pharmaceutical headquarters, major insurance carriers, and regional banks means compliance demand is broad and consistent throughout the state.
Which New Jersey cities have the most compliance specialist jobs?
Jersey City, Princeton, and New Jersey have the most compliance specialist openings in New Jersey. Newark and Jersey City draw heavy demand from financial services firms and insurance companies anchored in the New York metro corridor, while Princeton and its surrounding corridor attract life sciences and pharmaceutical compliance roles tied to the region's dense concentration of biotech and pharma headquarters.
