Corporate Recruiter Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a corporate recruiter in Texas?
Most corporate recruiter roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field, though no state-issued license is required for the role itself. Many Texas employers favor candidates who hold the PHR credential through HRCI or the SHRM-CP through SHRM. Starting in HR coordinator or sourcing roles at large Texas employers or staffing agencies is the most common entry path into a full corporate recruiting seat.
How much do corporate recruiters make in Texas?
Corporate recruiters in Texas earn a median of about $68,920 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $43,410 for the lowest 10% to over $117,060 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire corporate recruiters in Texas?
Employers hiring corporate recruiters in Texas right now include Aramark, Walmart, and White Lodging, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major energy companies, and fast-growing tech firms in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin corridors keeps corporate recruiting demand consistently high across industries.
Which Texas cities have the most corporate recruiter jobs?
Dallas, Houston, and Austin account for the largest share of corporate recruiter openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth leads because of its dense cluster of corporate headquarters across technology, financial services, and retail, while Houston's energy sector and medical center drive steady demand, and Austin's rapidly expanding tech industry continues to attract recruiting talent from across the country.
Are there remote corporate recruiter jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 9% of corporate recruiter openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how thoroughly the role shifted to distributed work after pandemic-era adoption became permanent at many employers. Phone screening, video interviews, and ATS-based workflows mean sourcing and coordination work is especially well-suited to remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a corporate recruiter in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing an HR coordinator or recruiting coordinator role at a large Texas employer or regional staffing firm, where you support full-cycle recruiting before owning requisitions independently. Companies like USAA in San Antonio and Texas Health Resources in the DFW area run structured HR development programs for recent graduates. Earning a SHRM-CP or PHR while in a coordinator seat meaningfully strengthens candidacy, and lateral moves from HR generalist or administrative roles that included hiring responsibilities are a recognized bridge.
Where can I find and apply to corporate recruiter jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to corporate recruiter jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
