The typical path starts with a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business, followed by several years in entry-level marketing or CRM roles at Maine-based employers in retail, healthcare, or financial services. Building hands-on experience with customer segmentation, email campaigns, and loyalty programs, along with earning a recognized CRM certification, strengthens your profile for mid-senior roles.
How much do customer marketing managers make in Maine?
Customer marketing managers in Maine earn a median of about $135,380 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $92,710 for the lowest 10% to over $232,310 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire customer marketing managers in Maine?
Maine customer marketing manager roles are posted by Northern Light Health, IDEXX Laboratories, and University of Maine and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Maine's strongest hiring activity for this role sits within its retail, insurance, and regional healthcare sectors, which maintain dedicated customer marketing functions.
Which Maine cities have the most customer marketing manager jobs?
Portland, Bangor, and Westbrook account for the most customer marketing manager openings in Maine. Portland leads because it houses the headquarters and regional offices of Maine's largest retail, financial services, and healthcare employers, while Augusta and Bangor contribute openings tied to state government contractors, insurance firms, and regional medical systems with in-house marketing teams.
Are there remote customer marketing manager jobs in Maine?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 55% of customer marketing manager openings tied to Maine are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how naturally desk-based this role is. Campaign management, CRM work, and customer communications strategy are the functions most commonly performed fully remote, making this one of the more location-flexible marketing roles available in the state.
