Customer Marketing Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer marketing manager in Texas?
Most customer marketing managers in Texas enter the role with a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications, followed by several years in customer-facing marketing or CRM roles. Texas does not require a state-issued license for this position. Employers in Austin and Dallas typically look for candidates who have managed email or lifecycle programs end to end, so building a portfolio of measurable retention or engagement campaigns significantly strengthens an application.
How much do customer marketing managers make in Texas?
Customer marketing managers in Texas earn a median of about $147,880 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $81,820 for the lowest 10% to over $259,200 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire customer marketing managers in Texas?
Employers hiring customer marketing managers in Texas right now include DoorDash, Deloitte, and Bimbo Bakeries USA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of technology companies, national retailers, and large financial services firms means demand for customer marketing talent remains steady outside of seasonal slowdowns.
Which Texas cities have the most customer marketing manager jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Houston have the most customer marketing manager openings in Texas. Austin's dense technology sector, Dallas's concentration of corporate headquarters in retail and financial services, and Houston's energy and healthcare industries each generate consistent demand for this role, so hiring activity spreads across all three metros rather than clustering in a single market.
Are there remote customer marketing manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields, since customer marketing work centers on strategy, digital tools, and data analysis that translate well to remote environments. About 18% of customer marketing manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how widely adopted flexible arrangements have become in this function. Lifecycle campaign management and CRM strategy work are the sub-areas most frequently listed as fully remote.
How can I get hired as a customer marketing manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a marketing coordinator or CRM specialist at a Texas-based company, then building ownership of a single channel such as email or in-app messaging. Large Texas retailers like H-E-B and technology employers in the Austin corridor frequently hire associates into rotational or growth marketing programs that lead directly to customer marketing responsibilities. Completing a recognized marketing automation certification and assembling a portfolio showing measurable campaign results gives candidates a meaningful edge over others applying without direct experience.
Where can I find and apply to customer marketing manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to customer marketing manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across industries and metros. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and preferences, and apply directly to each position without any additional steps.
