Customer Marketing Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer marketing manager in New York?
Customer marketing manager roles in New York have no state-issued license or exam requirement, so the path runs through education and experience. Most hiring managers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business. New York's dense concentration of consumer brands, financial services firms, and tech companies means candidates often move up from roles like CRM coordinator, content strategist, or customer success associate at a mid-size company before stepping into a manager title.
How much do customer marketing managers make in New York?
Customer marketing managers in New York earn a median of about $181,200 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $104,140 for the lowest 10% to over $324,310 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire customer marketing managers in New York?
Employers hiring customer marketing managers in New York right now include Rippling, Colgate-Palmolive, and Fanduel, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's mix of global consumer brands, financial services headquarters, and fast-growing SaaS companies means openings appear across a wide range of industries rather than clustering in one sector.
Which New York cities have the most customer marketing manager jobs?
New York, New York City, and Brooklyn have the most customer marketing manager openings in New York. New York City dominates because it is home to the U.S. headquarters of major consumer brands, media companies, and financial institutions, while smaller markets like White Plains attract openings tied to regional corporate campuses and healthcare-adjacent businesses that maintain in-house customer marketing functions.
Are there remote customer marketing manager jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields, since customer marketing work is largely strategy, content, and analytics-driven with no requirement to be on-site. About 39% of customer marketing manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly the role has shifted since companies adopted distributed marketing teams. Lifecycle campaign management and customer advocacy coordination tend to be the most remote-compatible parts of the job.
How can I get hired as a customer marketing manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a CRM coordinator, marketing associate, or customer success role at a mid-size New York company, then building a portfolio of campaign results before moving into a manager title. Large New York employers in consumer goods and financial services often bring on marketing rotational associates or junior program managers as structured entry points. A certification in a major marketing automation platform strengthens an application significantly when experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to customer marketing manager jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to customer marketing manager jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current New York openings updated regularly. Search the listings for roles that match your experience level and specialty, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
