Customer Success Manager Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer success manager in Massachusetts?
Customer success manager roles in Massachusetts do not require a state-issued license or exam. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree alongside experience in account management, SaaS support, or sales. Boston's dense technology and life sciences ecosystem means many candidates enter through junior customer success associate roles or support positions at software companies, then move up. Earning a Gainsight or Salesforce certification strengthens applications at Massachusetts-based SaaS firms considerably.
Which companies hire customer success managers in Massachusetts?
Employers hiring customer success managers in Massachusetts right now include Hi Marley, ServiceNow, and CYVL, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Massachusetts's concentration of SaaS companies, financial services firms, and life sciences organizations means demand for customer success professionals is consistent across both established enterprises and well-funded growth-stage companies in the Boston metro.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most customer success manager jobs?
Boston, Waltham, and Cambridge account for the majority of customer success manager openings in Massachusetts. Boston dominates because of its density of SaaS headquarters, fintech firms, and healthcare technology companies, while Cambridge draws heavily from the biotech and edtech sectors clustered around Kendall Square, and Burlington attracts demand from enterprise software companies established along the Route 128 technology corridor.
Are there remote customer success manager jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, and more than most fields. Customer success management is fundamentally a communication and relationship role that translates well to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 77% of customer success manager openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly Massachusetts SaaS and technology employers have adopted flexible work policies. Enterprise and strategic account roles tend to retain the most in-office expectations.
How can I get hired as a customer success manager in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a customer support or sales development role at a Boston-area SaaS company, where internal transitions into customer success are common and actively encouraged. Companies like HubSpot and Wayfair run structured associate and rotational programs that place people without direct CS experience into junior success roles. Building a Gainsight or HubSpot certification and documenting any retention or client communication work, even from adjacent roles, gives candidates a concrete edge in Massachusetts applications.
Where can I find and apply to customer success manager jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to customer success manager jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current Massachusetts openings from employers actively hiring. Find roles that fit your experience and apply directly. No account creation is required to search or view listings.
