FP&A Analyst Jobs in Pennsylvania: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a fp&a analyst in Pennsylvania?
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics is the standard entry point for fp&a analyst roles in Pennsylvania. No state-issued license is required for the role itself, but earning a CPA through the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy or pursuing the Certified Corporate FP&A Professional designation significantly strengthens candidacy. Most Pennsylvania employers expect hands-on experience with financial modeling and ERP systems alongside the degree.
How much do FP&A analysts make in Pennsylvania?
FP&A analysts in Pennsylvania earn a median of about $84,460 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $57,260 for the lowest 10% to over $155,320 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire fp&a analysts in Pennsylvania?
Employers hiring fp&a analysts in Pennsylvania right now include Comcast, Trinseo, and The Hershey Company, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Pennsylvania's concentration of large health systems, insurance carriers, and financial services firms means demand is spread across multiple industries rather than dominated by a single sector.
Which Pennsylvania cities have the most fp&a analyst jobs?
Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Wayne account for the most fp&a analyst openings in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia drives the largest share thanks to its deep concentration of financial services firms, major health systems, and Fortune 500 corporate headquarters, while Pittsburgh's openings reflect the strength of banking institutions like PNC and the expanding healthcare footprint of UPMC across western Pennsylvania.
Are there remote fp&a analyst jobs in Pennsylvania?
Yes, and more than most fields. FP&A is an inherently desk-based and data-driven role, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 64% of fp&a analyst openings tied to Pennsylvania are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly Pennsylvania employers have adopted flexible work for finance professionals. Forecasting, reporting, and modeling work translates most naturally to fully remote formats.
How can I get hired as a fp&a analyst in Pennsylvania with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a financial analyst rotational program at one of Pennsylvania's large employers, with UPMC, Comcast, and PNC all running structured programs for recent graduates. Lateral moves from accounting, accounts payable, or junior reporting roles within those same organizations are another common door. A strong financial model in a portfolio, progress toward the CPA through the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy, or completion of the FP&A certification signals readiness even without direct FP&A title experience.
Where can I find and apply to fp&a analyst jobs in Pennsylvania?
You can find and apply to fp&a analyst jobs in Pennsylvania on Migrate Mate, which lists current Pennsylvania openings updated regularly. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
