Growth Jobs in Illinois: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a growth in Illinois?
Growth roles in Illinois do not require a state-issued license or registration. Most Illinois employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, data science, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience in experimentation, funnel optimization, or product analytics. Building a portfolio of measurable outcomes and earning certifications in analytics or growth frameworks strengthens a candidacy considerably for Chicago-area companies and the broader Illinois market.
Which companies hire growths in Illinois?
Companies currently hiring growths in Illinois include Paylocity, ZS Associates, and Kimberly-Clark, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Illinois's concentration of technology firms, fintech companies, and large consumer brands in the Chicago metro creates consistent demand for growth talent at multiple seniority levels.
Which Illinois cities have the most growth jobs?
Chicago, Illinois, and Schaumburg lead for growth openings in Illinois. Chicago dominates because it is home to the headquarters and regional offices of major technology, finance, and consumer goods companies that run dedicated growth functions, while nearby suburban hubs like Naperville and Evanston add openings tied to mid-market and startup employers with a lasting presence in the area.
Are there remote growth jobs in Illinois?
Yes, and more than most fields, since growth work is primarily analytical and digital. About 73% of growth openings tied to Illinois are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how readily the role translates to distributed teams. Positions focused on data analysis, lifecycle email strategy, and paid acquisition tend to be the most consistently remote, while roles requiring close collaboration with local product and engineering teams skew toward hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a growth in Illinois with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a marketing coordinator, business analyst, or product operations role at a mid-size Chicago technology or e-commerce company, where growth work is part of a broader remit. Illinois employers such as large fintech firms and consumer app companies regularly hire associates into rotation programs that expose them to experimentation and acquisition channels. Building a personal project portfolio that demonstrates A/B testing or funnel analysis, and earning a recognized analytics certification, gives candidates a concrete edge when applying for first growth roles.
Where can I find and apply to growth jobs in Illinois?
You can find and apply to growth jobs in Illinois on Migrate Mate, which lists current Illinois openings from employers actively hiring. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and target company type, and apply directly to those positions.
